I think a hundred grand a week is a bit of a reach though
This is literally my job. £100k a week is probably about right, maybe even a bit conservative. My departments budget for temporary accommodation/hotels has quadrupled in the past 18 months or so. I am based in the North. If thr hotels in our area are full, they get sent whereever there is one available. I've had people sent to Leeds, Manchester, Blackpool, Leicester, etc. And the local authority pays all their taxi fares there and back of course! It all goes on the council's tab.

what? he was born in wales, he's Welsh. He's Welsh British citizen. Not sure what you are so offended about, there are murderous mats in every country.
---

that is sinister as duck. If that is the reason I will be sick. He would have to have done some stalking to know where her\his child was though.
It is sinister, but how else would even know about such an event? Different part of town / wrong demographic

It all depends on the size of the property though doesn’t it. £100k for 5 migrants or 500?

Is there anything in that which would suggest he isn't in fact Welsh?
It would depend if his parents were naturalised or registered as British citizens before he reached the age of 18, as outlined in Part 1 Subsection 3 and if he was then subsequently registered.

3)A person born in the United Kingdom after commencement who is not a British citizen by virtue of subsection (1) [F7, (1A)] or (2) [F8or section 10A] shall be entitled to be registered as a British citizen if, while he is a minor—

(a)his father or mother becomes a British citizen or becomes settled in the United Kingdom; and

(b)an application is made for his registration as a British citizen.

The answer to which we don’t know.

In short he didn’t become British until the point his father or mother naturalised, and he was then registered. If he has at all. Don’t you think it’s significant that he is described as being born in Cardiff to Rwandan parents and not a British Citizen born in Cardiff? Because the second description would stop the speculation dead.

Not offended at all just stating the facts (and shock horror my opinion) If he was to take a DNA test his origins would not be Welsh. Being born in Wales and breathing Welsh air cannot alter your DNA.

Not sure why you had to point out there are murderous mats in every Country!

As I previously said we will have to agree to disagree BUT sadly this is a thread that cannot respect anyone else’s opinion.

Don't you think it's weird that people are trying to determine whether a couple who have been in the UK for over 20 years and raised a family here are naturalised, in order to attempt to question their son's citizenship?

Do you know how immigration works? Welsh is not an indigenous identity. “Welsh people” as you call them are made up of various groups over 1000s of years. He has just as much right to identify as Welsh as you do. If he does, that is.

In terms of the class targeted, he was very lucky there were no men in attendance. Such as dads taking their daughters, male teachers, etc.
Either way he is a coward targeting a class for young children.

So you are in fact saying that you believe citizenship isn’t a legal matter? That’s revolutionary and to put it to the test I would suggest you try travelling outside of Europe without your passport. And please live stream the outcome…..

The kid was born here, he’s been raised here near on 18 years. He didn’t just come over on a boat last year. His birth records are there for everyone to see. As I’ve said if this was a white man no one would be questioning his or his family’s citizenship

Honestly, the mental gymnastics you're doing right now could qualify you for the Olympics. Do let us know if and when there is any evidence he's not a British citizen, but right now it seems he's being treated like one, in law.

Accommodation is averaging at about £900 - £1000 a week at the moment, per room (one person). Our most used hotels are Travelodges and Premier Inns. We use other ones too, but if there is too much trouble we are blacklisted. We are getting loads as part of the Afghanistan Family Reunion scheme at the moment, though, so they are often placed over 2 or even 3 rooms, depending on how many of them there are. So £2000 - £3000 per week for a family. Then after a while they generally get a council house or social housing.

I have read this many times and still can't work out what your point is or what it has to do with Veronicaaa's post
