I feel so bad for them, can’t imagine it. I’d rather pick my dog up off the side of the road after been run over than have someone take them and be forever wondering if they’re ok or suffering somewhere.
I’m thinking it has to have been. They knew that puppy was in the house. And probably knew her Mam was home alone. Absolutely awful. I’d be losing my mind in that situation.
