She’s quite tone deaf and unaware really. Her recommendations are for far more expensive products and makes people feel guilty about what they choose and can afford to feed themselves/ their family.
She peeved me off last week when she put up a story about how grateful she was to have a heated steering wheel these last few weeks. She drives a sponsored car!

Does she really think many people are sitting eating the whole bag themselves?! She’ll be at Costco next
Super size me where the guy was actually an alcoholic and the results weren't even skewed by his bad eat more so his alcoholism. She hasn't a bloody clue and the racism from her on the post about chicken from China.
If bord bia approved is on food it's from Ireland simple we that.

She got abuse from some over that yesterday, the women should be supporting women brigade!
I saw that, ridiculous carry on. I also liked her response to it - I know not everyone likes Laura and that's grand, different comedy for different people etc. but she was spot on when she said that people aren't messaging Tommy Tiernan *or other male comedians when they take the mickey out of other men, telling them not to 'tear men down' - that was the gist of it and she's 100% right. Women have to blindly support other women, why? Because we all happen to have tina's? That's not feminism.

Was Laura's post aimed at Sophie or are there other influencers who go around the shops doing the same??

These crazed supermarket videos with the wild eyes and hair are working out well for her - free beds for the kids room now.

Have been following her for over a year and I'm ashamed to say that I had recommended her page early last year to my own online students in relation to dietary swaps without knowing that she has no qualifications whatsoever as a nutritionist or dietician. Yet she’s trying to come across as one. Really was shocked to learn she has nada.

I would've assumed based on the fact that she had books published, online courses, a good home and money, the fact that she has been invited to attend so many speaking events, had PR, etc, that she at least had qualifications in either nutrition or dietetics.

She has experience as an entrepreneur of some cookie dough product and creating food content for Ornua. I could’ve sworn she was at least a nutrition coach or that she had mentioned it. Her LinkedIn says she has a degree in Economics.

A nutrition coaching qualification doesn't really make a difference to be honest to her credibility. I attained one in 2021. It’s basically just a certificate completed online over a year with the only option being setting up your own company. No exams. Just mini assessments which nowadays would be a walk in the park with ChatGpt.

I don't know if anyone is familiar with IHS (Institute of Health Sciences) but I had studied with them and two months after graduation they went into liquidation and closed due to downturn in students. They had been open 16 years. The owner immediately set up a new company abroad and no message of gratitude or refunds for remaining students whatsoever.

I think some of her videos are good in relation to calling Cadbury out for their use of oil or calling out Irish companies that are using Chinese chicken whilst portraying an Irish packaging. No Irish company should be using this despite the fact it’s probably much cheaper. Not mad about the French one who works there, but the likes of Rosie & Jim use Irish produced chicken. Or the nitrates in ham.

But when she goes crazy over a little bit of extra sugar in a tomato paste or having four additives instead of seven additives it’s just too much. Not everybody can afford to shop in Dunnes on minimum wage - even with the vouchers buying six items or so could work out as nearly €40.

I've gone fully off her. And ive noticed alot of other people are in the same boat!! Last yr I did one of her 'swaps' it was the aldi pesto from the fridge [which is really nice for the small amount I was spreading] and I got the jar version she recommended instead....and it was absolutely horrid 🤮 but I did see last 2 times that aldi were out of those orange pops she recommends so she does have some power
But like you say calling out the extra bit of sugar in tomato paste..you would want to be eating tubes of it every day for the reaction she makes over some things.
On a positive note thou, shes not like the other huns selling anything that comes their way. Im sure shes been approached by the main culprits like emma mattress, Dylan oaks, bperfect etc etc etc. And she would make plenty of money for sure if she did any of those ads!!!
But then charging people for her courses when she not actually qualified, its hardly moral either

Some of her food swaps are good and then some of them are just ridiculous but ultimately a lot of food swaps are just not gonna work in relation to the texture and taste of a typical meal.

It does bother me the way that she says that people sharing her posts and her post themselves are the reasons that retailers are bringing out new products which is in fact incorrect. It takes months to trial and release a product.

Like I said, I was really surprised to learn she had no qualifications at university level or practitioner level in relation to nutrition or dietetics. I know she's never claimed to be a nutritionist or dietician but it's the first thing you would think of when you're looking at her videos.

Just because she's been involved with marketing and workshops with food companies as she is a marketing and economic professional by qualification doesn't mean she's equipped in nutrition.

When she says the retailers are listening and it's about something she posted a week or few weeks ago and as if a brand has brought out a product within a few weeks she's delusional.
She also talks so much tit about different ingredients that are obviously in small amounts.
When all the registered dieticians and doctors call her out you know she's not to be taken too seriously.
