It’s my understanding that she’s a nutrition coach. Something I think I could qualify in over a week of lunch breaks from my job.
A dietician is a medical professional and would not need to shout into their iPhone like an escaped patient around Lidl with unbrushed hair ranting about stabilisers. She never explains what the actual problem is with these ‘bad’ ingredients though. Just that they’re bad. She’s a dangerous idiot.

I really have a problem with her. It’s not just the scaremongering, it’s the guilt tripping. A lot of her alternatives, in fact most, are far more expensive. We are all trying to do the best for our families, and of course less ingredients is better. But something making everything from scratch or buying items with less ingredients are far more expensive.

Can you imagine your kids being in same class as her kids. You just couldn't invite them to birthday parties. I'd be freaked out there was going to be an Instagram live of her having a meltdown in my kitchen surrounded by Cadburys, Haribo, cocktail sausages, pizza and worst of all chicken goujons from Lidl freezer section 😆

Also... Why do we need a clever swap for broccoli 🙄🙄🙄

Omg I absolutely cannot stand the woman. It's super trendy now to freak out about UPFs which kind of gives the same vibes as everyone going vegan or doing the raw til 5 diet etc. it's just extremism. Like by all means be more clued in on what you're eating, but most people probably don't eat Pringles everyday so who cares if they're super processed and you eat them once in a while! I just feel that it leads to people becoming obsessive over ingredients lists and freaking out or over thinking the whole thing when really moderation is key! I think she's a chancer because, like someone else said, she's not giving any nuance to the ingredients she says to avoid. It's just black and white good and bad which simply isnt true for most people who have a fairly varied diet to begin with.

She wrecks my head. The EU has really stringent food production standards. She would have a seizure in an American supermarket.

On anither note, she really needs to go and brush her hair. She looks deranged 🙄

Dr Oetker is a German company. It's absolutely ridiculous of her to imply that they are listening to her and making changes. And those idiots congratulating her, Jesus Christ - fools. Sophie doesn't ever take into consideration that people are struggling to pay their food bills. Her alternative products are almost always niche brands that are more expensive. And those Easter eggs she recommended? Those are aimed at the adult market. €12 plus for an egg? For kids? She's fecking deluded. Easter comes around once a year, enjoy the cheap Easter eggs folks. Also in terms of food production, we have strict governance here compared to the likes of America. She should explain why an ingredient might not be healthy and also how much of it you would need to consume before it would actually impact on your health.

I’m so glad to have found a thread on this one. She is absolutely painful. And her obsession with ingredients and ultra processed foods is just another form of disordered eating disguised as a trend. She has zero qualifications in nutrition and food science yet people follow her blindly and bankrupt themselves trying to buy what she recommends. Yes, less processed foods are better for our bodies but the obsession with them is not better for people’s minds, pockets or family life. We all do our best with what we have and don’t need Saint Sophie preaching from the aisles of the supermarket telling us we are poisoning our children.

i was thinking about the pizzas that a product takes months of development they hardly went into the kitchen and said there’s an Irish woman giving out we better do better. The comments under her reels are nauseating

She is dangerous , she got called out by Ben Carpenter today and it gave me hope.
She is scaremongering and over emphasising any food with sugar in it for example. She called out a Thai curry paste the other day, now how much of the paste would one person be eating when it’s made into a big curry? Feck all! And Thai curries have sugar in them, that’s the recipe!
She is also elitist, people buy processed foods as they last longer and can be cheaper than fresh. Also, all the additives she speaks about get rigorously tested by the EU.
She made a false claim about Lindor that only applied to America, again, the food over there is totally different to ours due to our laws.

I can’t comprehend how she thinks the supermarkets are just listening to her !! The latest coconut milk has been around with years. Supermarkets aren’t changing because of a woman armed with an iPhone is patrolling labels. It’s honestly cultish the following she has

Funny how her previous business was a ready made cookie dough - I'm sure she'd turn her nose up at eating anything like that now

The collab for the tv wall 🤨 nothing to do with food or nutrition. Why would a company assume her followers are in the market for home reno and cars... oh wait its greedy marketingthat she so loves to call out! No issue when it benefits her.

She’s quite tone deaf and unaware really. Her recommendations are for far more expensive products and makes people feel guilty about what they choose and can afford to feed themselves/ their family.
She peeved me off last week when she put up a story about how grateful she was to have a heated steering wheel these last few weeks. She drives a sponsored car!

OMG I thought I was alone, can't stand her. The scaremongering is so unnecessary. I feel young busy mothers are being targeted and that's not right.

Katriona O Sullivan is going off about her as well
In fairness she has some very valid points.
Yes the scheme is not perfect but it is monitored and reviewed on an ongoing basis.

One of the messages Katriona shared also said something interesting, the writer said how SM is making money from all the engagement she gets on these posts, so effectively profiting from throwing shade on an anti-poverty measure.

I think what she is doing is very dangerous. While the hot food scheme is not perfect,. It is new and is a start. In Ireland schools don't have canteens, the government is not going to build canteens in every school so we are where we are.

While the quality may not be what every one would like, as Katrina o Sullivan says for many it's the only hot meal they get. Kids can also opt out, parents can still make their lunch, my sister does for one niece, the other 2 love the meals but 1 doesn't.

As for darina Allen and her community kitchens, that's not going to happen either

I feel Sophie Morris is in very privileged position, her videos are harmful to young mothers in particular making them feel very guilty about what their children are eating. She may say its directed at producers but mothers are hearing it.

What's wise is she benefits financially, her book, programme, car etc etc

When she says the retailers are listening and it's about something she posted a week or few weeks ago and as if a brand has brought out a product within a few weeks she's delusional.
She also talks so much shit about different ingredients that are obviously in small amounts.
When all the registered dieticians and doctors call her out you know she's not to be taken too seriously.

Sophie has started to bug me for example the brocolli the other day no matter what its wrapped in its not an UPF, maybe not everyone wants the one thats been poked at and coughed on, she thinks she is 'teaching' us how to shop 😂 not so long ago she was flogging expensive cookie dough! Are nut oils or rapeseed oil that bad for you really in moderate amounts? She is becoming militant against anything that has more than 3 ingredients, like who is actually surprised that drinking chocolate is mostly sugar and cocoa powder isn't, thats not a clever swop they are different products and most people would probably add the sugar in anyway.

How is she relevant to Toyota? I'm lost as to how suddenly shes talking about a car 😉 marked as #gifted so is it a brand new car a lease or a trial for x amount of time, really these gifts should be clearly explained. I wouldn't like to be paying the tax on these gifts influencers get I got a €50 thank you voucher thing at work for going the extra mile on something and got taxed 50% on it hadnt even asked for it or given an option to refuse it but it meant my take home salary was lower, but yet we come home from work and watch a stream of women one after another get free stuff food boxes, clothes, holidays and cars. I would guess the majority are not declared.

Just waiting on her to sell out to a supermarket chain or food brand as an ambassador.
