Thread suggestion: scrounging 9 till 5, what a way to make a living, always tagging brands, it's all taking and no giving

I like Sophie and Dave I have no issues with them. :)
I'm glad Dave is able to spend some time with his son. It's not often a father gets to do this, good for them.

The fact they only made £20 has MADE MY DAY

Maybe people were more willing to donate when they thought Dave was going back to work.

Now he's admitted they're basically beggars with cameras, nobody's interested.

Baby is malnourished, baby rarely gets fresh air, parents don't support baby's head properly, baby is usually in dirty clothes, both parents are unemployed and not actively seeking employment ... If they were living on a sink estate social services would be round every day.

If you can't afford to run a car and shop at Matalan on a 200k income you really ARE doing something wrong, tbh.

Editing to add, really they hardly lead exciting, expensive lives. They've spent money badly and wasted money, but they have a tiny TV in their main room, they never go out, they never eat out, they don't drink. They don't meet with friends and socialise. When they did eat out it was simple cheap high street restaurants. They're hardly exciting in the fashion, haul, shopping department. I don't envy their lifestyle at all.

Sorry but WTF is the title of that vlog "The BEST news this year'. Not your baby son being born safe and healthy, not getting a roof over your head as a result of raising £10k by doing fuck all, not that no one in your family has been affected by COVID? Nope, finding a ring that won't even fit on your fat fingers any more. Are these two for real?!

Sophie - "because Barney is not quite himself we're just going to snuggle and watch movies, let's just have one of those days"

as opposed to what love, you've literally described your daily routine!

I change my mind so regularly about these two. They are SO irritating not having a job and begging for things. But at the same time I do think their hearts are good (and it must be a easy thing to fall into when you're a youtuber, getting freebies is almost expected!) .. Also I really resonate with Soph being a full time mum and thats what she really wants, I'm the exact same
This isn't an attack, I am genuinely curious, what makes you think that their hearts are good? I think quite the opposite.

I think they show their viewers utter contempt, take them completely for granted and eventually, it is going to backfire on them spectacularly.

They don't interact. They have all the time in the world to reply to comments, it would take them seconds and even a simple like would make the day of the poor souls who think S&D are something to aspire to, yet they don't do it because they feel like they don't have to, same as they don't have to have jobs.

Their attitude towards gifts they receive, whether from fans or brand. If they were nice people, they would be grateful for anything, and would make sure they devoted plenty of time in the vlogs to show off whatever they had been sent. Instead, they open the PO Box and after showing off their first haul Sophie made a point of saying they wouldn't necessarily always show what they are sent. Not even attempting to hide their greed, 'send us pressies but don't expect anything in return'.

Super chats. Any decent person would turn them off, surely they know that those most likely to give are vulnerable themselves and attempting to buy S&D's affection!? Yet, they take they money anyway.

I never believe any of the gushing over how grateful they are to the fans is genuine, I find them incredibly insincere, which tickles me as Dave is supposed to be an actor

Their click bait ‘Taking your advice ‘
So I am guessing Dave has a job and he has joined Weight Watchers.
They are going to eat their 5 a day
Chip is going to obedience classes
They are not going to beg for stuff or make any more pins 😂😂😂

Hey Sophie Sad Face, I have an idea. If you can't afford blinds, Dave could always GET A JOB. I know it's a weird suggestion but it might be worth a try 🤣🤣

There's a comment on the latest vlog congratulating Dave on having lost "so much weight" since Barney's birth. Perhaps my eyesight's failing me, but to me he looks larger than life. I've never seen him so big!

Physically ache to be back in Disney? Wise up Dave stop talking absolute nonsense.

Maybe you could physically get up off the sofa and physically do some exercise and you could physically fit into all of the rides the next time you go instead of making up nonsense to portray this image that you love Disney.

Oh and get a job you’re crap at this YouTube thing.

I think in a way, giving him a harmless nickname (it really doesn't seem meant maliciously by anyone here) actually offers the kid a level of anonymity on the thread not afforded to him by his parents by not using his real name. The poor kid is going to grow up with a camera lens in his face, with his childhood for all to see - at least when he Googles his name in future these threads are less likely to come up.
