She’ll not have time to spend 3 hours glamming herself up and posting stupid stuff like that when the baby comes, think she’s in for a massive reality check!
I hated when people said this to me when I was pregnant! Luckily my baby sleeps loads and I have plenty time to waste glamming myself up 🤷‍♀️😂

my 14 month old is starting to walk, talk, and has suddenly gone from sleeping 12 hours to waking up every 2 hours. i miss the easier newborn days so much 😂
yep, I have a two year old and a newborn. If it’s just me and the newborn I’ve got all the time in the world, add the toddler into the mix and I’m lucky to brush my hair and teeth!

Far easier when they are immobile lol, mine had bad reflux and I would still take it over toddlerhood any day. My house was cleaner and got more done 😅😅

It’s hard to tell when there’s still loads of pre filmed make up videos and ads everywhere!

It's nice if she's pre-filming and scheduling - so many of them don't bother. Hannah Witton is still going on about how her ad revenue took a big hit because she just vanished from YouTube for six months when she had her baby and if you've got the time to pre-film (and let's face it, most of them do!), it's a good thing all round.

I think she had the baby midweek - end of last week. Just a random thought that popped in my head like "Sophs had her baby" 😂.

I had her pregnancy q&a as background lastnight and I might be being petty, reaching, whatever because I'd much rather people recycle/reuse etc etc but when she said she got loads off vinted for baby/baby room... It kinda bothered me? Like, she's been gifted stuff and she can definitely afford things brand new so why not leave the vinted stuff for people that can't afford brand new, y'know?

Just to add, it doesn't bother me when she buys clothes from vinted. I think that's great but the baby stuff I think could have been left for some less able to pay new prices iyswim? Again, I might just be being petty and reaching but 🤷🏻‍♀️ oh well 😂.

I don’t see it as problem as long as she then gifts it to friends and family and doesn’t resell it! I think it’s good she’s prompting using vinted for baby stuff as not enough first time mums do it and then when they’re in it for like 5 mins it’s wasted! Vinted isn’t short of baby stuff, so she isn’t depriving anyone of anything!

That is very true! I hope she does gift it when she's done with it instead of reselling or even resell at even lower price.

I'm all for people using vinted, it just becomes idk "blurred"? A bit when people can obviously afford things brand new but then again it's not always about affording it, it's about rehoming something that would otherwise be put in landfill or wherever.

I was fully accepting I was reaching! I didn't realise vinted has lots of baby stuff (as I have no need or plans to ever have a baby 😅) so she's not taking from more in need parents. That's great.

I've often seen influencers take free kids things from FB marketplace and I think that's a smack in the face when these influencers can afford it.

I guess it's not just black and white but most things aren't!

Obviously she’s been gifted a lot but if it’s not to her taste / if there are gaps she needs to fill that she hasn’t been gifted, i don’t see any harm in her using Vinted. I’m sure anything she’s been gifted that she hasn’t used will go to a good home. If she bought loads of stuff brand new, she’d definitely get criticised. So, she might as well buy second hand. There’s so much second hand baby stuff out there, there’s plenty to go round. Sustainability wise, I think second hand is the way to go. Just because she can afford brand new doesn’t mean she should buy brand new. I’ve said this on here before but before she became the influencer she is today, she was very humble and built a channel from using cheap, drugstore makeup. It’s quite nice in my opinion that she’s maintained that mindset of, more expensive doesn’t equal best. I think this is a case of she can’t win. Buy on Vinted she’s criticised, buy new she’d get criticised. That’s just my opinion.

She has also worn things she's got from Vinted so it's not like a new trend she is jumping on just for the baby. I'd much rather someone influence people into using Vinted than get gifted a load of overly expensive baby stuff

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't criticising her. As I said, I think using vinted is great as so much goes to waste. Like I said I was more thinking of the FB marketplace things that people give for free and I see a lot of influencers take those things which I think is a bit of a piss take.

But just to add, she has still been gifted alot of overly expensive baby stuff 😉.
Oh without doubt. But when you see Mrs hinch literally get everything for nothing including from small businesses and she has been caught out flogging on fb, I don't think Soph is that stupid

It's an interesting point of debate. I've seen it before with charity shops as well - should charity shops be pricing for thrifters and bargain hunters who will pay more vs being a community service for those who can't afford much. I think it's fine with baby clothes as it seems there are millions to go round, I suppose they don't have lots of other people in the family with babies who they can inherit from which I know lots do.
