I got into a heated debate about this once. Ended up being told I had been brainwashed by the patriarchyCardi B, Nicki Minaj, Latto, etc. Their music, outfits, voices, and "personas" are basically the same.
The main thing that annoys me is they keep preaching about female empowerment, as if they're helping women. Sorry but, as a woman, all I see/hear when I watch their music videos is female objectification and exploitation. I don't exactly feel empowered when Nicki's like "I can lick it, I can ride it while you slippin' and slidin'..."
. All I said was if I want a ‘female empowerment’ song I’ll listen to I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor not some talking about a wet ass p*ssy

Same thing happened to me when I complained about WAP. Some man told me I was against the expression of female sexuality. But what woman do you know who actually likes that stuff and talks like that? It's not female sexuality, it's women pandering to the way they think men want them to be! And it's ok for me as an adult because I know it's BS, but little 13-year-old girls are the main audience for pop music, and they're going to grow up thinking that they have to behave like that to have a relationship and there's something wrong with them if they feel gross about it.I got into a heated debate about this once.
