Seeing our grandsons again, I’m going to shower them with hugs and kisses! They live 120 miles away in England and we live in Scotland, we’ve went from seeing them every other week to about 4 times this year. I really had high hopes that they would be coming up for Christmas but that’s impossible now. I do FaceTime them everyday, we get to do homework and I read them stories but nothing will compare to real hugs.

I can understand why we are doing this, although it doesn’t make it any easier. I would rather be safe than sorry, I’d never forgive myself if I passed on anything to mine or my husband’s elderly parents who are relying on us so much right now, or god forbid my son, DIL and grandsons.

Christmas Day. I finish up work for the rest of the week on Christmas morning and don’t go back until 28th (working over New Year too). I’ll be exhausted and about as much use as a chocolate teapot, but I can’t wait to see my sons’ little faces when they see that Santa has been and open their presents. I can’t wait to relax in the evening with my husband when it’s all done, eating chocolates and having a few drinks.

Was due to have a Christmas BBQ on the patio garden with the family this evening (Johannesburg), but rain has stopped play, and we've put it off until tomorrow.

Just being able to spend a morning in a coffee shop or cafe. That's a possibility that's seeming so remote at the moment.

The board game I've ordered. I haven't owned a board game since I was a kid and haven't played Scrabble in maybe years, so I look forward to playing it with my parents.

Spring & Summer, just when it's a bit warmer and not as many rainy days, can't wait to go for walks with the pram/my newly walking son ☺

My birthday, and wedding anniversary are both coming up in February. I’ve booked a week off so I’m looking forward to the break as well.
