I have no idea to even guess what his salary would be, but I'm curious. He's a tour leader but also tour manager, I think? @moronglace Do you have any guess about his income? I have assumed his family was comfortable to begin with, as well.Very true, would Emilio be earning that much mkney?
I guess she didn't count the time she moved back to TX? LolView attachment 3622358
Maybe I’m just exhausted but since when has it been 8 years?
If she really lived here over a decade--like me-- she'd know not to leave the house if a delivery is due around 10. It might come at 9. Pay attention, Sofie. Organize your cushy life differently. Side note but related...this is why Esselunga supermarket has trouble keeping home delivery drivers. People schedule blocks like "10-12" but if the guys pass at 9:30 they find nobody answering. Sure it's a little early, but does Sofie know what a shitty job it is for these workers to DRIVE AROUND CITIES , FIRENZE, especially?? Looking for Karens like herself (I agree with the label lol) bc then they have to still deliver to others, trying to keep decent time, but then back track for all the non responses. I mentioned Esselunga BC I know their drivers now and they're so grateful I'm understanding and have told me how brutal it is going round and round. I imagine most couriers are this way. It's annoying but girl, you have a newly renovated apt which only took 8 months, custom fittings, multiple AC splits, you don't actually work aside from your social media hustle and "consulting." STFU.Yeah, I think she wants to be the people who can say they have lived in Italy a decade but she’s being dishonest about it.
I get it, Italy is disorganized and nothing works the way things seemingly should, everything is unnecessarily complicated, but these kind of complaints feel like… idk, something you vent to a friend about and forget a few hours later or at the most in an IG story, not stuff you post on TikTok for it to just sit there forever.. I always got the vibe that her mom is a Karen and I think Sofie totally has a Karen side to her. It’s showing.
Yeh exactly, I'd rather deliveries slightly early or late rather than workers treated like machines. She has no empathy at all, it's interesting how her attitude is still so American imoIf she really lived here over a decade--like me-- she'd know not to leave the house if a delivery is due around 10. First off, “rubs me off the wrong way” is so funny. I don’t know what the commenter is trying to say about immigration in the U.S., that’s maybe a step too far.View attachment 3631343
I was thinking the same thing. It looks like if you took a newly renovated American place and put it in Italy.
I think they meant Sofie acts like nothing is happening in the US while complaining about bullshit things being delayed in her newly renovated custom finished apt there, as an immigrant (passport or not).First off, “rubs me off the wrong way” is so funny. I do agree, however, that Sofie’s renovation for the most part is far too beige and boring for my taste. I would also have removed the wall closing off the living room from the kitchen, but the wood doors and marble floors are so beautiful and unique. Sure the building shows its age from the 60s, but these details make you really feel like you’re in Italy. The bathrooms I do like, though. I hate the little tiles in the shower that were there before, it feels like those would be such a pain to clean (as little grout as possible makes it feel more hygienic to me, idk). I also really don’t like the little cabin-style showers in Italy, it feels claustrophobic to me.
Overall it’s a nice house and I would be happy to live there compared to where I’m at, but if I were spending money to renovate in Italy I’d put a lot more color, texture and interest into it. Not just boring minimalist fixtures
I think Sofie isn’t speaking out about what’s going on in the U.S. because she probably doesn’t feel like she “has to”, she’s “not political” or whatever excuse privileged people use to get away with not showing at least some sympathy for the people suffering in the world. I’m not really surprised by that though.I think they meant Sofie acts like nothing is happening in the US while complaining about bullshit things being delayed in her newly renovated custom finished apt there, as an immigrant (passport or not).
That said, it is pretty beige, isn't it?TBF, most newer constructions are exactly like that and Italians love more minimal and modern features, for the most part. I don't know, maybe the commenter lives in her nonna's house. If anyone is able to find it, Casa a Prima Vista is a fun show and you can see so many homes at various price points.
I also like the bathrooms bc having tile, like you said, is just a PITA keeping up with grout.
It's all just very influencer beige, I think places like that will age badly tbh. I'm not surprised sofie doesn't comment on us politics, I get the impression she probably voted for trump tbhView attachment 3631343

Or didn't bother voting bc "tHeY'rE bOtH tHe sAmE!" Lol. I assume her family and friends back in the US are very right wing. Her mom definitely seems "MAHA." lol. Lucky them, not having to worry...until baby sister gets thrown in an ICE van. It's all just very influencer beige, I think places like that will age badly tbh.
