I don't use tiktok but that seems likely, I cannot imagine going on Italian (or any TV from my adopted country) and introducing what I thought SO negatively. The host was clearly trying to be positive about it but even she seemed slightly taken aback imo

I would have posted the entire interview if it were possible, but there was one point where she is asked a question, gives a quick response and the host says something and then “let’s see another clip” and back to the TikTok montage LMAO

Oh God, Kacie's story bit where she says she likes singing! I'm sorry, but that's not the best example of her voice lol. She sounds awful there.

With all these nostalgic song and dance posts I wonder if she's really regretting moving to Italy. The problem is, at her age now it won't be easy getting back into the competitive performance business in NYC.

Yeh I would probably be if I was her it must be really difficult to give up your passion and dream job to move across the world where there is very little chance of getting to do it again, i imagine in the long run it would cause resentment

I'm assuming she was looking for engagement with her "Anyone know any shops that sell maternity wear that ships to the EU?" As if there aren't maternity lines at places like COIN or Mango, or EU shops online.

Definitely looking for engagement or a company to reach out to her.
Surely she or Emilio could shop in Florence for some basic maternity shorts or pants.

This Sunday Riley thing is insane, how were they able to come back from that? Or I guess that is why their whole strategy now seems to be influencer marketing.

Not sure it's been mentioned here but I have started getting recommended videos by Carlo and Sarah on YouTube, I mistook them for another similar couple (American/italian) this content is so bizarre and annoying, they both seem like nice people but alllll of their content is just as if neither of them know anything about the other country "what? In America bar is just for alcohol?!" I mean they are married and (i presume as she cannot speak any italian) live in the US. How long can channels like this really work?

I'm sorry, this is rich coming from Kacie. Kacie who has zero clue about regional cuisine and whose own TikToks and reels often give wrong info and contribute to mass tourism. Martina knows, Kacie doesn't. And don't forget the Florentine antipasto "I coccoli" means cuddles in Italian. 🤌🤌

New Sofie vlog, haven’t seen it all the way through but she’s been “gifted” a night stay at the Four Season’s Palazzo Della Gherardesca. And she’s crying

Didn't get a notification for new comments...again. lol. I haven't watched. I don't think I've watched most of her last vlogs, at least since showing the apt they bought.

On IG she's def FT influencer. Shilling for Hello Fresh, discount codes for various brands, she's got her Amazon storefront as always.

She does not seem happy she's alone with the baby. I don't know why she was in Rome before Mother's Day if she was going to seem pathetic for being sola on the day until Danae invited her to their brunch or whatever.

I read that article too! She was so obnoxious it's hard to have any sympathy for her. She came across as such a "I'm not like others..."

And yeah, Kacie has this guide and a few others. I can't imagine what she wrote since all her advice is nothing you can't find anywhere else.

One thing I noticed was someone asked how to get a job in Italy. Thankfully she said she wasn't an expert lol. But she said she came to study and now works for her own "company" or whatever. So maybe she did convert her permesso to "lavoro autonomo" in the end. I'm sure she earns quite a bit (and no wonder she's been doing all those sponsorships lol).

Anyone see Sofie's abuelo's 90th surprise party? He was so cute And her dad is a very good looking guy lol. I couldn't believe he was 58.

That magazine seems to be full of clueless Americans, the next thing I saw was about an American living in Argentina (for the past 14+ years) whose daughter had decided to stay there to study lamenting the fact that, unlike US unis there was no one to welcome you and show you around, no meal plans or dorms, and yet still somehow thought that the American system prepared you for the real world better

Lol! Her accent sounds eastern European in this. No wonder someone asked her if she was from Moldova (a while back she was thrilled her accent wasn't so "American/Anglo" bc some guy assumed she was from there based on her speaking.) I thought "it's not actually better or saying it's closer to Italian."

Another person asked her if she'll go to the US to give birth, too. I wonder if it's because her privilege is obvious? Not sure if you follow nneya on IG, but she went back to the States to have her baby. In her case, as a black woman she felt safer her concerns would be heard and for language reasons. That said, it's obvious she and her husband have money. Another non-famous expat (though she was on House Hunters lol) went home to GA to have her baby. Though her family had a whole hospital wing dedicated to them. I can't imagine paying so much just to have a private room and amenities. It seemed from the vlog Sofie's staying in Italy, but I wouldn't be shocked if she decided to go be near her mother and have the "higher end" (lol) experience $$$

I would imagine she will go on about manifesting positive energy and want to have a home birth tbh

Did anyone see her Live last night? Once again it was clearly to advertise SR products. I have to give her credit bc she is pretty natural about it (more than many, anyway.) If somebody DIDN'T know it might not be obvious. But, the whole "Just got back from dinner with a bunch of Italian women (pre Fashion week dinner meeting, I'm positive) let's do my nighttime routine!" (Using only SR) is getting stale. The funny thing was one of her colleagues was in the comments making sure to name the products and "suggest" ways of using them. Like GTFO lol.

That reminds me of the time Sofie, Kacie and I think Tia Taylor (I'm not 100% it was her but I don't really follow others in Italy) all posted on THE SAME DAY about "randomly" going for a ride on some brand's e-bike. Sofie was funny bc she showed herself holding up traffic and being embarrassed. KR said something like (yawn, stretch) "I just can't wake up today! I think a ride on this e-bike is just the thing I need!"

I'm so embarrassed for Kacie that she "learned" to make that completely basic non-Tuscan salad. Kale, walnuts, feta, balsamic and EVOO. Wow.

"Its important the kale isn't in a bag"... Proceeds to prepare the kale the same way it would have already been jf it was in a bag, along with that well known tuscan ingredient feta that cooking class sounds like it was designed for children who have never stepped into a kitchen before

This video bothers me. Grandpa Boyfriend and (his??) friends are drunk and getting way too handsy with her. It makes me feel like he looks at her as a piece of meat. Hard to think otherwise when he’s 12 years older and she’s admitted he’s narrow minded and sexist

She's going on vacay again! I can't. I'm assuming it's in Calabria with Emilio's family from her description, but still.

Funnily enough just saw an article about a new working mother in the US who cried bc she watched her baby sit up by herself or something via videocamera, while at work. IIRC she had 4 weeks off for maternity leave.

Of course Sofie celebrated her birthday at Locale. Drinks are pricey for Italy (most Americans probably wouldn't blink since they're standard, especially in bigger cities) but mainly they have the strictest doormen who are ageist, fatphobic and racist.

I wonder if she paid for Kacie and Danae or they celebrated American style where they paid for their share lol.

I need to know more about those doormen!

Her stories look like an ad - she clearly spent time curating the stories. I also noticed she’s been writing her captions in stories in all caps. That makes me think it’s some kind of social media marketing technique, like in her casual everyday posts it wouldn’t be in all caps.
