Same.I need find my “curious” again. April has not been even dry( ish). I’m tired of it now, so I’m joining in guys. Have a lovely weekend everyone
Where do you live? I can take that off your hands? In the interests of your sobriety of courseI don't drink either. Alcohol (especially red wine) was a migraine trigger so I don't touch it anymore. I've never been into drinking at home but I really noticed this in the last year - I had friends spending £100+ a month on booze (stocking up on wine, fizz, beers etc) which seemed insane. My hangovers were hellish too, throwing up every time and I just thought nah, this isn't worth it anymore.
I turned 30 this year and people gave me bottles of prosecco and gin etc that I've not touched and my cupboards are full of the stuff! Doubt I'll ever get through it at this rate
I just get a non alcoholic beer and say “haha lightweight these days, would need a nap.” You’re still joining in, just suiting yourself.I had a couple of days last week where I had a couple of drinks (3 units a day max) as was with friends... and my anxiety ramped right back up again. I'm just not sure I can handle drinking any more, and I'm actually OK with that.
My biggest concern is going for lunches with clients and saying I'm not drinking and how to handle that without looking "boring" or "stuffy"... still working out the details I think.
Tell them you are on antibiotics or have to drive that night. After they have had a few drinks they won't care what you are drinking.I had a couple of days last week where I had a couple of drinks (3 units a day max) as was with friends... and my anxiety ramped right back up again. I think that if you simply say ‘I will have a soft drink please’, people shouldn’t argue. There are multiple reasons why someone may not drink and you shouldn’t be seen as boring because you don’t want alcohol.I had a couple of days last week where I had a couple of drinks (3 units a day max) as was with friends... and my anxiety ramped right back up again.
