God he's got a nerve turning up. You'd make an excuse not to, surely unless you were an arrogant arsehole who blamed other people for you filling your face. I should add I absolutely don't mean because of his size, more because that sort of weight gain makes an absolutely mockery of their "plan" and its not really inspirational for one of their consultants, is it.

Anyone remember that acs_sw or asl_sw, she lost about 6 stone and was becoming a consultant but then her account disappeared?

Not sure if many of you here remember Jack Towers? Lost loads of weight on SW then had a GoFund me to pay for his lose skin removal - raised way more than needed for surgery and was then spotted always going out drinking in designer gear etc (suspected of using the Go Fund me cash).

Anyway he has his own thread that has blown up tonight, as he has gained all his weight back!
All that money on surgery… wasted!

Have you got a link to his thread please?

"erm, we dont count calories on slimming world" I said..."also, whilst I'm at it, can you tell me why a bowl of sugar puffs is a healthy extra b choice? they are laced with sugar and honey, but if i want some cornflakes they are not and have to be synned"

couldn't answer me.
Fibre content. Honey Puffs or whatever they’re called these days are high in fibre as puffed wheat. Think they’ve about 3 times the amount of fibre of cornflakes. Sugar wise though, it’s ridiculous that Honey Puffs a healthy extra. I know they’ve nowhere near the amount of sugar they used to be (which is why I haven’t had them in years :ROFLMAO:)

It honestly can. I can hand on heart say my relationship with food was normal before I went to slimming world. I was in the normal weight range before I went to uni, I gained some weight when I went to uni and that was simply because i was doing the typical uni thing, going out and having fun drinking and eating. Once uni had finished I thought I should probably try and lose some weight and that’s when I joined SW and my issues started from there. I agree what you say, many peoples relationships with food are messed up before they even start, but it’s not the same for everyone. Mine was fine before and fucked up since 😔
again, I agree its not the same for everyone, and I'm sorry that it happened to you, i tried to edit my comment to make that point but it wont let me ❤

Aw yea i follow her, i think she put her target too low and upped it slightly so she was more comfortable with it
She's put a post up with her current weight yesterday and said she wants to get back to target. So I don't think she has upped it. Her target weight will be pretty difficult for her to maintain though I think.

I only went to a slimming world group once and I swore never again. I was 10 stone at the time and I only wanted to lose a stone. The leader tried to convince me to lose a stone and a half. I’m 5ft 6 and i didn’t need to lose that much at all. I did the registration and filled in the forms and put down I was type 1 diabetic. The leader came over to me and said I couldn’t have any of the fruit and some of the veg as free foods as it would mess up my sugars but I could have pasta and potatoes. Pasta and potatoes are the worst things to be eating constantly. I’ve never gone back and have managed to keep my weight down.
I’m 1/2 and inch shorter than you and my target weight is 10.3

You do not need to loose a stone and a 1/2!!!

He was the worst abuser of the plan, honestly.
Breakfast of 4 eggs and mountains of chips for breakfast
Large costa for 1 HEA
Massive lunch of jacket potato and beans or something like it
Then massive teas with shitloads of meat, rice and carbs and more cheese for 2nd HEA
Then a full tub of halo top everynight cos its within his syns
I remember when he gained 18lb over christmas one year, the won slimmer of month in his wifes group for january 🙄
Whatever happened with them? Where did they go? They were super friendly with Lewis (who does appear to have kept the weight off) then just disappeared?

Lately I found two very good slimming world accounts of men without the arrogance. Slimmingworld_welshguy and phil.kayes.sw but they are of closer age to me than my son.
I prefer to follow accounts that are not bragging constantly or acting in a arrogant fashion. Slimming world need to take a hard look at who represent their brand!
I like phil.kayes.sw too!! Just seems down to earth! Done amazingly well but you’re right there is no bragging!
