Does anyone ever have dream premonitions?
I haven't personally but my granddad always used to dream of plane crashes a day or so before they happened.
I've always found premonitions really fascinating

I have a recurring nightmare where I’m driving but can’t control the pedals.

I think this is a version of sleep paralysis. I get this maybe once every few months. I’m having a nightmare (can be anything) and I know it’s a nightmare and not real but no matter what I do I can’t wake up. I keep reassuring myself but it panics me more I can’t wake up. Yuck!
I have a very similar dream with the pedals. Usually the brakes. But it's often the whole car/ pedals.

Along with the popular teeth falling out dreams!

Had a dream about a guy I follow on Tiktok.
He owned a bunch of crocodiles and was going through my underwear drawer, holding them all up and googling the sizes? 🤣🤣🤣

I had a dream the other day (was an afternoon nap dream) that my window cleaner came so I went to my purse and pulled out a £20 but it had Barry from Eastenders face on it instead of the Queens! It was a counterfeit note and I was fuming. Was wracking my brains trying to remember where I’d got it 😂😂

There was more to the whole dream but that was the best bit 😂

Anyone else have dreams where they are jn a known place (usually for me is a workplace) and they are looking for.a room but cannot find it anywhere and just kind of go round in circles? I have it a lot and had never thought about it but was talking to a friend the other day who had the same. It sounds mundane but is somehow kind of scary

Don't know if it's already been mentioned but my dream last night reminded me.
Something that happens a lot is someone's in trouble or I need to call 999 for whatever reason and never can. It never goes through
I've had something similar when im looking for help and just can't text or phone anyone. Seems to be the case with dreams that there is a lot of frustration- can't get somewhere on time, can't call people, can't shout for help🤣

Also not sure if those who have experienced lucid dreaming are the same, but whenever it happened to me, I couldn't really control the dream, I could only control my actions in it

I remember reading something about it yesrs ago!

I refuse to sleep on my back because it's much more common on your back
I used to get sleep paralysis a lot (always scares me to say that in case it returns!) Always when I was asleep on my front. I would wake to feel something heavy pressing down on my back and be aware of something getting closer but being unable to move to escape.

I trained my brain to focus on one part of my body (usually my hand) and to make that move and that used to get me out of it.

I have the teeth falling out dream a lot to the point I have to feel my teeth some mornings to make sure they're all there. And needing the toilet but
not being able to find one anywhere

I get sleep paralysis fairly regularly and it’s horrible. I’ve often panicked thinking I’m genuinely paralysed. One time I had it and could hear footsteps up my stairs (this was a hallucination) my son was a baby at the time and I was really panicking as I desperately tried to break out of the paralysis before whatever was coming up the stairs could get to my son. Awful.

I dream very vividly as well and I dream a lot, even short snoozes I will usually dream and I’ve recently been able to dabble into lucid dreaming where I become aware I’m dreaming and can then mess about with the dream. One time I became aware I was dreaming so decided to jump out of a window and when I woke up I got scared that one day I might get confused whilst awake and think I’m dreaming and do myself some harm so I’ve stopped being a daredevil in my lucid dreams 😂
I have always had very vivid dreams too.
I always remember at least 1 or 2 of my dreams every night as well.
Always fascinates my family when I tell them about everything that happened 😂

Lucid dreaming has always fascinated me though but I'm too scared to try!

If I hang something up in my room, for example a coat on the wardrobe door, sometimes my brain will sense it as a foreign object in the pitch black middle of the night and I'll jolt awake terrified that there's an intruder in the room. Does anyone know the sensation I mean? It must be something deeply primeval, it's a horrible sensation.

I go through phases of waking up genuinely believing that I am choking. It feels like something is teetering on the back of my tongue waiting to fall down my throat and if I swallow I'll be unable to breathe. Maybe a gobstopper, coin or somethings else round and smooth. Usually it involves shouting, suddenly sitting up right or crouching, mad breathing and panting, sticking my fingers down my throat to remove the foreign object and screaming for help. I've even started getting out of bed and found myself on the other side of the room recently. It's terrifying. Every time I think, 'this time it's actually real, not like those other times. I really am going to die'. It seems to come in waves eg I do it every night for a few days/weeks and then stop. I think it might be stress related.

On a much nicer note, I also get amazing sleep orgasms which are so powerful they wake me up! These dreams happen fairly regularly and again seem to be when I'm overly tired or stressed in real life.

I can also feel and taste in dreams! Sometimes I'm able to lucid dream too

Does anyone have certain common settings for dreams? I have dreams in random settings but there are locations that always come back like my school and a few other places. My dreams are often set in those locations but the locations can be changed slightly and it's always a different story in the dream
Yes and in locations I have never known, I don't know where my mindncomes up with them. My dreams like that kind of continue from where they ended, again this is something that has happened since the pandemic

I dream something similar where I cannot dial the number I need. Or I can’t text. It’s so frustrating and I get really upset and panicky. I KNOW the number but it’s almost as if my fingers don’t work anymore!
I have dreams where I can't walk, like I can but somehow I don't move /move incredibly slowly as if I am walking through honey or something

I have a lot of nightmares and I try to scream but can’t straightaway. My poor partner, who often gets woken by me, says that he hears me building up to the screaming. Apparently it starts really quiet and then when I find my ability to scream in my dream I wake up screaming really loudly. I’ve done it for at least 15 years. When I was younger even my housemate would run into my room thinking I’m being murdered 🤦🏻‍♀️

When I’m not having nightmares my “normal” dreams often involve me finding hidden rooms in houses I either know in real life or houses that I appear to know in my dream. I’ve found a whole apartment in the attic, a huge green tiled jacuzzi/shower room behind a wall etc.

Only once, last year.
On the Tuesday night I dreamt the Queen had died and I was pissed off that it had happened while Harry and Meghan were in the UK. She died on the Thursday while they were in the UK.
On the Wednesday I almost posted it on the Royal’s thread but thought it was a bit morbid so I didn’t. I did tell my husband though.

I get regular dreams that I still have outstanding essays to write for uni - even though I graduated 6 years ago. I think it’s due to the PTSD I experienced of doing a masters degree 😂
I used to have terrible dreams as a child, I couldn’t differentiate reality from dreams and had to see psychiatrists for a while to help me.
I often have the same dream years apart and it seems like significant places from my childhood always make it into my dreams, even though I’ve not been there for decades!
Omg I had a dream I was picked to meet up with Ed Sheeran and if he liked me we could have sex. Just fucking gutted I got pied 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 story of my life really 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

I have a recurrent dream where I know I’m about to die and start to panic that I need to text my loved ones to say goodbye. I’m so scared in my dream that I actually physically do grab my mobile ‘phone to type my text. Luckily this wakes me up. It has happened so many times that I have had to warn those close to me that if they ever receive a text from me in the middle of the night saying something like “I’m about to die. Goodbye. I love you.” then I’m just having a nightmare and sleep texting.
Thankfully I’ve always woken up with my mobile in my hand before I’ve typed anything. I hate it and it really unnerves me. 😔 The strange thing is, in real life I’m not actually scared of dying but in my dream the fear is awful.

I started lucid dreaming in the pandemic, I haven't been able to change the dream exactly but I am aware I am dreaming and can also hear what's going on around me, it is really strange
