I often half wake up not knowing where I am. Happened last night and it's always the same, convinced im not in my own house, not got a clue whos in bed with me (my husband finds this so funny)

Sometimes i get up and realise where I am, other times I actually we up and realise I'm at home and I'm fine.

I also can wake up suddenly convinced theres something flying round the room.

Dream wise I used to have a recurring dream where there was buried body in the garden and I'm terrified of it being found, as scary as it is I always wake up from it feeling comforted..

Does anyone ever have dream premonitions?
I haven't personally but my granddad always used to dream of plane crashes a day or so before they happened.
I've always found premonitions really fascinating
I have had dreams about people that I don't hear from or see regularly then had a message from them the day after.

I dreamt I was in a strange place but enjoying myself when I asked someone where I was they said “oh you are in Hell but we’ve made it so you enjoy it, you didn’t like it last time”

I’ve been thinking about that dream on and off for a week now 🤷‍♀️

Has anyone heard of Alice in wonderland syndrome?
I have it. I close my eyes and it’s like I start to shrink and everything including the room gets bigger and I’m just this tiny person in the corner of a big room.
My son then used to wake up screaming but would be asleep and would be saying he feels like big bouncy balls or other balls were rolling towards him (i think it’s the same thing like I get)
Yes and I'm pretty sure I have it. Used to happen more when I was a kid, like I'd shrink in to my bed, have to lie really still to trigger it. Happens less now but it still happens. Its never felt scary to me.

I’ve also dreamt I’m flying and can actually feel myself moving up in the air.
I’ve dreamt of teeth falling out (I think that signifies money worries)
I’ve dreamt my husband was cheating on my and I wake up so annoyed with him.
I talk a lot in my sleep and also wake up crying sometimes.
the trying to type 999 into a phone and not being able to freaks me out the worse.
Yes to big bouncy balls & as a child I had nightmares about cotton reels rolling closer towards me

Oh wow. I have some crazy dreams. The most frequent are

Teeth falling out
Needing to loo but can't find one, either blocked or no door!
Alot are are either based back in school or at my first job or my child hood house.
The most frequent and the one I hate the most is dreams where there's a thunder storm and I'm hiding from lightning, I can see the light ing bolts coming and I quickly dodge them. It's so weird but I really hate those dreams
I've never had the lightening one, but I've had all the others!
The needing the loo one, I always find it's because I actually need to go and at some point after I will wake up desperate to pee.
I either can't find a toilet or I'll be trying to go on my dream but can't.

I have the teeth one a lot!
And with the school one, I often have a dream I'm going to be late for school or something. Even though I haven't been to school in 15 years 🤣

Another I get often which I had the other night is trying to call 999 but can never get through.

Had a dream last night a girl I was friends with in school fell of a balcony in Spain and died... then we got accused of pushing her. Another friend made a shrine to her too.

I had a dream I was deeply in love with an older guy who I was totally besotted with. He took me to a wedding & loads of his friends were really rich & I did drugs with them. I didn’t recognise any of them

Oohh I've had the body one too but mine was we was renting a house and hid a body under the kitchen floor but then had to move house and was worried someone would find it. Woke up actually thinking did I hide a body somewhere 🤣🤣

I am having a recurring dream and it is really freaking me out. It's like I have something really important to do that I can't remember when I'm awake but the minute I'm asleep it comes to me and it's REALLY important but then when I wake up I forget again. It's driving me mad and is really unsettling because I can't work out if it's a real thing I'm forgetting or not!
I’ve been having the same kind of dream for a few weeks now! So relieved it’s not just me😂

I've had the hallucination thing as I've been falling asleep before, they're called hypnogogic hallucinations. They're almost always spiders or insects, which are apparently very common, I once heard a loud buzzing of a giant bee too. I haven't had them for years though, weirdly I used to always get them when I laid on my left side, but I started wearing an eye mask too while I sleep and I don't get them at all anymore.

I've never had sleep paralysis but I did feel like there was someone getting into bed with me once, like when you feel something heavy behind you and I woke up with a start, it really scared me!!

I've had very vivid dreams before, I dont get nightmares but occasionally get anxiety dreams, some of my recurring ones are getting on train or bus and getting lost, being late to get to catch a plane, trying to pack a suitcase and running out of time, a tornado coming towards my house, a tidal wave coming and trying to escape it, being back at school, going into a public toilet and really needing to go but the door is really short and doesn't cover me properly :ROFLMAO:
I could never find out if they had a name or not but yes, 90% of the time, it's insects I see!

____

My dreams are mainly positive/neutral.
It's rare i will have a bad one
