I am not a fan of this creator thing where the creator gets a percent of pack sales. I think it’s really manipulative of EA. They know lil simsies fans will buy any old pack not matter how crap it is if it means she benefits. Thats a huge pull to a young easily influenced audience. Also as has been said its for the top tier game changers only right? I.e the ones that don’t need it because they get invited to every sim event, get free packs etc.

Honestly, this might be an unpopular opinion but i think Patreon is really cheeky. Particularly in the case of StephOsims. You have to have a brass neck to barley upload and ask for money from people. It’s begging. If she can’t afford to Feed her dog (and I don’t believe she can’t, it’s just manipulative tactics from her) then go and get a job. You can’t expect people to pay you for playing a video game once in a while.

Kayla trying to pretend that she suddenly loves playing with occults so that when she makes 17 videos about how amazing the new pack is she doesn't get accused of being fake.

Definitely not an unpopular opinion here, it’s an absolute joke to beg people to pay for your life and not even giving them the bare minimum in return. The work ethics of Steph0sims and Plumbella are atrocious.
I’m also completely all for taking breaks when you meed to for your mental health etc. but it does make me wonder how on earth they’d manage in the outside world in “real” jobs. (I remember Plumbella saying something about how she’d be on disability allowance if she wasn’t making money through sims, but I may be remembering that wrong)

On a positive note, I watched the whole of James Turners Every Lot Challenge recently, and thought it was excellent. Absolute chaos, he made things hilariously difficult for himself, and then has the most cursed happy ending possible using that hellishly bugged wedding pack.

It was just good daft fun, no drama or tantrums or unnecessary whining. Just a man and his Sim, getting harassed by volcanos, earthquakes, aliens, ghosts, gremlins, dust, cats, dogs, foxes and food poisoning.

Some of these comments about autism...

Lockdown and the pandemic have definitely made some of my masking slip. I have a lot less energy for socialisation/work now than I used to. I'm also on anxiety medication now because my anxiety also got worse. It's an invisible disability, so I have to also fight for people to acknowledge that I don't have the same level function as neurotypical people, and because I present as neurotypical people forget that I'm not.
No one is saying any of this isn’t true, we’re talking purely in the context of Plumbella because the thread is about her, not about autism in general. The girl has been an attention seeker from the get go, and like another poster said she basically shat on a minimum wage worker for not doing their job how SHE’D like it done, the world doesn’t revolve around her and she’d be hard pressed to find that out, autism or not.

The only “negative” comments I see about autism specifically here is that some didn’t realise it was a disability, but it was ignorance that has been greeted with praise when they were corrected, not anger. Please keep in mind that no thread on tattle should be taken personally.

god i'm so glad i found this thread. i looked up plumbella tattle out of curiosity and sure enough........ i'm a massive fan of sims youtube historically but i think now that i'm in university and with a job i'm just finding them all so....... awful.... and it's hard to watch youtubers complain about how hard their lives are i really have no sympathy for it anymore LOL

i do like lilsimsie but god she builds the same thing ALL THE TIME. and i don't know why she's so obsessed with building base game only and constantly ignores comments with lots of likes saying they'd like to see a CC build or one with unlimited packs. that said, she has done amazing things for charity and she uploads very consistently. she also makes more plus size, non binary, or trans sims than the other mainstream simmers

plumbella and steph0sims i genuinely LOATHE. neither of them have ever been funny, at least not since 2017. plumbella is always complaining about SOMETHING and steph uploads so scarcely i have no idea how she makes any money. again, two examples of youtubers who have become so out of touch with the real world that they genuinely feel sorry for themselves and it's hard to watch. literally can't get over plumbella's fanfic merch which is a slogan that isn't even something she came up with or to do with her brand slapped on a sweatshirt????

quite like james turner because i feel like he actually LIKES playing the game and he complains so much less than the others. he seems so enthusiastic and is much more engaging to watch than deli who i haven't been able to bring myself to watch in over a year

one simmer i ADORE is devon bumpkin. criminally underrated, actually funny, and he is an AMAZING builder. his builds are so beautiful to look at which is more than i can say for vixella, plumbella, lilsimsie, or steph0sims. his upload schedule is amazing and he has a really genuine seeming relationship with his viewers

Kayla is so different at the end of a stream compared to the beginning she is a lot calmer and you can tell by her voice and mannerisms that she is less anxious. It could be that she finds starting a stream stressful and as the trolls and antagonistic people drop off and stop watching she relaxes and enjoys talking to the regulars. Another sign of anxiety is overthinking and thinking the worst in any situation which may be why she focuses on negative comments.
Yea I totally think it’s her anxiety that focuses on pretty much only the negative comments. But I don’t think you realize how bad it is. My jaw has literally dropped and I have left streams because of the way she has talked to people who have left comments that aren’t bad. God forbid someone asks you if you a simple question. One time she had planned a Mario party stream with friends and I had recent gotten Mario party so I was looking forward to the stream. It was on a day I was busy so I knew I would have to go back and watch it. Well when I went to go watch it I couldn’t find it. I looked in her discord and saw no history of it getting canceled so I assumed it was a twitch glitch that the stream wasn’t showing up. In a stream I asked “did you not stream Mario party the other day? I am not finding the VOD. Is it a twitch glitch?” and she went OFF on me basically saying “god forbid I cancel a stream because something came up” “I have other games to play and I can’t make everyone happy because someone is always going to say they want me to stream another game” blah blah blah… and all I asked is basically if it happened or if it was a glitch and I wasn’t seeing it… she was basically yelling at me for more than a few minutes. It wasn’t a quick shut down. I felt belittled and humiliated honestly. It’s disgusting how such a simple question can trigger an over the top, flat out mean, response.

so what videos do we think we will get about the new pack I'm betting on a build buy one with all the items arranged in a large box accompanied by lilsimsie crying because she loves the new couch and a random rug that she will never ever build with after next week.
Lilsimsie will say once again that she's kinda obsessed with occults right now. She might do some gameplay with #VladdyDaddy and werewolves, because she's so wacky! Look at her playing with occults! She might also remind you how quickly Stanley got killed by a meteor, because you have to understand, her game is wacky! No one else got killed that fast!

James will show off his builds and maybe talk about setting up the new Rags to Riches. He might complain about some swatches or certain items being considered as one item instead of divided as separate items.

Deli will go through new CAS items, maybe miss some stuff, then tweet later how she forgot to check all the items. She'll also pretend to like the werewoof design, but you will be able to tell she doesn't. She might set up a new LP today or tomorrow, with a sim that uses they/them pronouns.

Plumbella will spew out a review in her own style, probably mentioning the lore and how werewolves aren't as scary as in the previous titles.

Creator codes will make me less inclined to believe that sims tubers and streamers can be non biased when it comes to reviewing packs or kits etc. If it financially benefits them to promote the sims and get sales why would they be honest about the game.

Honestly I find Stephs and to some extent plumbellas videos to be over editing. I prefer to watch let's plays in the clare sibhon Janes turner or Dr gluon style with character development and some kind of storyline. Flashing lights and 5 year old memes are not my thing.

I mean streaming a video game to mostly children for ridiculous amounts of money must be one of the least anxiety inducing jobs out there so my sympathy is limited

🙄 the more she goes on, the more it looks to me like she’s using her diagnosis to control people.
‘Do what I say with my packages, I’m disabled’
‘Don’t call me out on anything or say anything negative about me, I’m disabled’ 🙄

Shit like this is why people who need to ask for things/help with things relating to their disability don’t ask and struggle. Because of all the idiots who use it as a free pass for every little thing!

I used to really enjoy Plumbellas videos until they morphed into her ranting about her anxiety, autism, periods, whatever other trendy quirky online all the time relatable girl talking point there is for 10 minutes before she finally gets around to dragging the Sims 4 team. Today she's uploaded an hour long video with her reiterating that she has autism. Girl we know, you've told us several times now.
I watched the video and it was good, she talked about how it manifests in her, the diagnosis process she went through, about how it informs things like her relationship to gender and her sexuality. As another autistic person, I appreciated her taking the time to be open about it. There are so many misconceptions about us that it's nice to hear people being open.

So Lilsimsie did a trivia quiz with Dan and Zeus for charity and the deal was that she's gonna donate whatever the amount the winner makes. She ended up combining both Zeus' and Dan's points and donated $13000! A great cause, but it also puts into perspective how much money youtubers actually earn. She just bought a house and is in the middle of redecorating and can casually donate $13000. I will say though, Kayla definitely earns that money, she's consistent and enthusiastic, unlike some simmers.
I can’t agree more. She actually donated through out the month and ended up donating over $30,000!! It’s crazy how much she makes. A few months ago I feel like she slipped and accidentally said around how many subs she averages (can’t remember how many). When you do the math with how much twitch takes out for their cut she still makes around $10,000 A MONTH from just twitch subs alone. I think that’s WAY too much. BUT I respect her for the amount she raises for charity through out the year, not just the month of may. And she streams daily AND has daily YT videos. She can be a bit much sometimes, but I just leave when I can’t handle her anymore. Love her or hate her, I firmly believe she is the hardest working simmer and is BY FAR the most generous. I guess that’s why I just can’t stand when I see how many simmers also make good money yet aren’t consistent with their work and are lazy.

I love that she talks candidly about periods, I feel awful at the beginning of mine and sometime wish I could shout about it when I’m at work trying to get on with my day with cramps. BUT, she does complain far too often, we don’t need to hear details about how bad she feels every single time, we get it, nothing wrong with wallowing in private sometimes to give others a break from the complaining.

I know people say she thinks she settled with James - in my opinion James could do much better than her, I think he has a raw deal. He looks after her dog, does handiwork for her, supports her constantly with her anxiety, period or whatever problem of the week she has, moved away from his home for her, works harder than she does and gets her thoughtful and expensive gifts. She’s out here eating his cupcake (which I find shocking tbh, I can’t imagine my partner doing that to me I’d honestly cry 😂).

What does she do for him? Cooking I guess, but only really because she’s on a health plan and wants to eat her way.

Just read this whole thread and found a lot of things I was thinking what other people are thinking.

I really don't get why EA have given creator codes so simmers can get paid? We don't even get anything out of it. So simmers can do nothing but still get paid.
lilsimsie heavily promoting creator codes just doesn't sit right with me. She keeps saying she really hopes they roll it out to more creators and it becomes a permanent thing. Like, yeah i bet you do! you get paid for doing nothing other than encouraging people to buy the sims and use your creator code. It doesn't benefit the consumer in any way! It seems like such a strange thing to do.

This is so embarrassing and childish. I’m 26 and this is something I’d pull when I was 17… I’d actually cringe all day knowing that story is live in Instagram.
She’s trying to justify her reasonings for being lazy… majority of woman have a period. Albeit some have periods that are really terrible and I understand that may limit your ability to focus/work well but I just can’t have sympathy for her when she has one of easiest jobs in the world, and one many many people would love to do and put in so much more effort than her. She doesn’t have to film when she has a period, but what’s the excuse when she’s not on her period?
Mental health is rough but if it was affecting your job in the real world you’d get help because you have to work to earn money.
Maybe she doesn’t need the money, maybe her merch sells itself like somebody else mentioned. If that’s the case, I’d rather she just quit YouTube because it’s tiresome, and at the end of the day she is constantly letting her fans down - those that are young are going to grow up quick and the first person they’ll get tired of is the YouTuber who is never consistent.
I agree, that’s embarrassing! It doesn’t make you “relatable“. It just makes you look like an attention seeking child.

I have to say I’m getting fed up of content creators bitching about how hard it is to play a video game for a couple hours.
