The ASA really have no authority. They send an email and the post is either labeled correctly or taken down. If it’s an IG story the influencer just acknowledges they did wrong and that’s it. Also they don’t investigate unless you have 3 breaches. It’s a joke. I also think SA has claimed her complaints are a group of online bullies, I will see if I can find her sob story and link it.

Simone Anderson defended the advertisements and said they were intended to raise awareness of cord blood banking and open a conversation about it. She said the text of her posts was approved by CordBank and that there was a comprehensive consent process before signing up. Any comments which were deleted from the platforms were due to personal attacks.

As I’ve mentioned before to the ASA, as result of this targeting I am hyper-vigilant of only accepting campaign work with messaging which has been fully sanctioned by my agents; any advertising or PR agencies involved, and the client’s advisors.
I am aware that everything I post is under scrutiny and go out of my way to ensure my content complies with regulations. I worked closely with CordBank to create accurate content for this campaign.
Trent and I had already decided we were going to do cord blood banking prior to entering discussions with CordBank, so this was legitimately a choice we had already made for our family, and something I wanted to make sure my followers knew about. As such, I am incredibly disappointed that a campaign I feel so personally passionate about - with a company I’m proud to represent - has resulted in complaints.

I’m guessing that she is the face of the brand and obviously gets a percentage of whatever money they make (plus free clothes). it’s possible she is a partner? I’m not business savvy at all so can’t say too much about the specifics.
They don’t disclose it on the baseline website but do mention a parent company in their terms and conditions.

Very interesting as a while ago when she did a Q&A someone asked her and she outright said no…..she’s a rotten lier!!!

I just remembered- I had her book and I don’t even know why or how it came to be in our home. Anyway, it was shit lol and last year we used it to get the fire started every night, would rip a few pages out and stack up with some kindling and set the pages on fire

It read like a really really bad Mills & Boon script so not a lot of truth to it. According to Simone in one of her posts a couple of years ago, she mentioned that she competed at National level in swimming so doing some exercises at F45 reminded her of this. I googled Simone’s claim of swimming at national level prowess and found that the participated in a few ocean swims finishing towards the end of the field regarding finish time. Why oh why do people like her feel the need to glorify their abilities? Narcissist at its finest and what does that say about her parenting skills?
