In that example, looks like the money will be going to the specific charity (Brake). But look at others (e.g. the Maccies one) you'll see that there's not a linked charity (therefore he gets the money)

One could hypothetically speculate that once the target is reached, the funds get locked and the campaign runner cant dip into them. I don't understand who his target audience is.
