I’ve frozen lik e lix for my old girl a few times when it’s hot out. The first time there was a lot of biting attempts and possible brain freeze, but she got the hang of it quite quickly and loved slurping away. Bless her. Shame its endlessly cold at the moment, doesn’t seem right to foist it on her for my own amusement!

Aw i used to buy Louie valentines presents. They both mended my heart many times but also will break my heart too. Very hard not to miss them, cleo gets told about her big brother a lot.

Happy Valentine’s Day from our little love bug! Does anyone else either know they don’t want kids/could take it or leave it but feel SO maternal when they snuggle up on you like this? I’m really in two minds about having kids because I know I’m quite selfish and would need to do a lot of personal work first but she makes it so easy to love such a tiny little thing. I just love when she cuddles me 🥹🥹
I feel maternal in the way that I love my cats so much, I love that connection you get with some animals where you're just cuddling and loving them. I'm too much of a cat person to have kids. Case in point, when my nephew was first born I was holding him and thinking "He's not purring."
I've had friends tell me I'd be a great mum based on how I am with animals, I don't think I would be though. I'm caternal, not maternal.
I mean, I thought I'd have children one day because that's what you were expected to do, then my friends started having families and I realised it wasn't for me.

I have a 5 month old son and we’ve had our rescue cat for nearly 7 years. I have personally struggled with guilt over my relationship with the cat changing a bit. She tends to only want to come cuddle on my lap exactly at the same time as my son needs his milk, or I will be about to get up to do something with the baby, etc. we have managed the occasional cuddle as a trio with both of them nestled on my knee which has been nice.
On the upside, we were told when we adopted her that she ‘hates kids’ but so far we haven’t found that to be the case at all. She hangs around far longer than I want to when he is screaming the place down (and isn’t showing any particular signs of being deaf). She mostly doesn’t seem to realise he is human which is probably for the best. I realise when he is moving around her general acceptance/ambivalence might get blown out of the window.
I love Cleo, I treat her like my child but an human being is not something I could cope with. My heart melts when she cuddles me but that's all I need. Cleo gives me a chance to chill, she goes to bed easily

He will not eat the new food at all (Hills gastro kitten) and is literally scavaging the house instead, licking bowls and any food scrap he can find.
I was feeding him purina gourmet before, i would love to hear of any wet food anyone can reccomend for upset tummies. The vet didn't offer a wet food, just said he will eat a dry food if he's hungry enough even when i told her he won't eat it at all. He must be starving as but he still won't eat it.
My other cat is at the vets to be neutered on Thursday so i'll ask about an alternative then.

our cat has ibs and like you tried all sorts she seems settled on CARNY and Feringa soft food from Zooplus really enjoys the Feringa chicken and pumpkin, and a. Beef CARNY

Yes! I never wanted kids and don’t have any. Babies do not make me think “awwww.” But my cats hurt my heart they are so damn cute and lovable
