It will be my first time leaving cleo with a cat sitter over the weekend. The woman came yesterday to do a meet and greet, poor cleo was terrified so she saw her for two seconds before she hid. Im very nervous about leaving her, I know deep down she will be fine. She will come out her shell eventually (especially if treats are involved)

It's normal to be nervous, but you're right, she'll be fine.
I went away for a week once while my husband was in Europe and my Pooh was so upset he sat on a piece of paper the whole time and only moved for meals. We had a housemate that Pooh knew and loved but that wasn't good enough.

PS Enjoy your break 💜

Peach hated the cat sitter the first time she ever came to the house, and we were quite nervous. After two days she was sitting in her cat sitters lap, rubbing up against her and snuggling down. It was almost as if she was disappointed when we came home :ROFLMAO:

I'm sure Cleo will have a great time before long!

Do the cat sitters stay full time is the house while you're gone, or do they just pop in once or hopefully twice, to feed and socialise with the cats?
I've heard about cat sitters but I don't know exactly how they work?

We have a local lady who pops in twice a day for about half an hour to 45 mins to play with Peach, clean out her poo box and do her food and medicine. I don't like the idea of someone staying in our house as I'm quite particular about having my own space but we do have friends who use the site Trusted Housesitters for their pets. I think they've had people who are usually sofa surfers or in between lets come to look after their pets whilst away so they don't have to pay the housesitters, but they get a good service as I'm guessing that the better you do, the more likely they are to have a place to stay again.

Im having her stay over in my house. I have fish and the electricity has to be on for them so incase something happens. Plus cleo isn't used to being by herself for long. When cleo met my boyfriend it didn't take her long before she was showing off by climbing the curtains 🤣 now she adores him.

Spot the cat!
This blossom tree is in our communal back garden . Every year she goes up here!
Yesterday she went the highest she’s ever been! I had to talk her down like it was a child! She then had the cheek to hiss and make that noise (fight mode noise lol) at me!

OMG that is such a beautiful tree and I can't find the cat at all!!! 😹
might be easier to spot her lol
There is an old birds nest ( pigeon) which she did knock the eggs out last year! Don’t think mum will use this nest again.

This is so pretty (the cat and the tree😊) does anyone else notice cherry blossom seems to be everywhere now? I really don't remember it 10 years ago. My little boy has only ever climed about 2 metres up a trunk chasing a squirrel and his large little sister has never even bothered with that 😂

This tree is amazing, till it’s windy! It’s slowly lifting from the root if that makes sense, so makes our gardens uneven.
Nala did decide to go on a thin branch and gave me a heart attack!

Yeah, I heard that Cherry blossoms can spread a lot, and also if planted wrong they can mess up foot paths with their roots. They are so pretty though!

I love all your cats

carry on

Mine are being obnoxious but the little one is of course in her human's bed snoozing with him because neither human or cat can sleep without one another
