Someone posted about folding up empty crisp packets for their cat to play with. Top tip, merci. My neighbour’s little cat pops in to spend time with me, for Dreamies, being fussed and treated like a tiny queen. I folded up a bt of paper and she enjoyed playing with it.
I would love to have a cat but I look after my parents’ dogs regularly; their Lurcher prey drive make it impossible. Having this sweet cat popping in every day is enough for me, what a treat! We are now at the stage of our friendship where she will sit on my lap and allow me to give her head massages.

Seeing this I totally get the use of the word catwalk for fashion shows. The elegance and grace

She does have different miaows I like to think we're communicating but sometimes her expression is a wtf are you on about now?

Her face in the first one is hilarious, bless her.
We used to have a tuxie girl who loved to talk, we called her Chatty Cathy. People thought we were exaggerating until they saw her in action. Mostly her brooping, ack-acking and chirping and us agreeing with her.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to destress a post-tooth extraction cat?

Peach had her teeth out on Friday and seems to be recovering fine but she does also seem quite stressed. She may or may not have pooped on the sofa yesterday. I'm not sure as she has pooped in her little box and gone to the toilet fine and sometimes her poop does get stuck to her fur around her bum, and I was out of the room when it happened, so I'm unsure if it was an accident or on purpose. OH and I are stressing about her not eating enough and have tried all kinds of food and maybe she just doesn't eat that much, but I'm worried about her and I think maybe she's stressed because we're stressed? I don't know.

She also keeps spending a lot of time on our dining chairs which is where she'll usually hide if a stranger comes to the house. Should we just leave her to it when she goes there, rather than try and talk to her or touch her?

Sending happy paws to you all. I've never had experience with tooth extraction so not sure.
I would say you're right about trying not to stress too much around her, cats are great at picking up 'vibes'.

Maybe just check in on her now and then to reassure her that you're there if she needs you?

Her real name is Boudicca, I don't know if you've ever watched Futurama but there's an episode where Leela has a boil on her arse that looks like Susan Boyle.
My mate and I were drunk and kept calling her Susan and it's just stuck.

I have good news, for once!

My friend's cat is home at last. Someone found him and dropped him off at the vet.

Cat is skinny but otherwise in good health.

My youngest cat (friend's cat's daughter) is considering taking her dad on the cat equivalent of Jezza Kyle as a Deadbeat Dad...

This makes me terrified, ditto when they fiate on certain points on tbe wall or something. Ad I live by myself all I think is "ghost"

Yeah my 1st thought as reading was it sounds like a scratch. Can you get a good look at it by moving her furr? If you see it well you might get better idea of what it is, like if it's a white scabby bump then that def sounds like a scratch that's healing well.
My Boss #3 has scratch Boss #2 twice in past 2 or 3 months, all while playing. I'm hoping to get Boss #3 used to me clipping her claws to help stop this. I hope she'll let me clip them, they scratch me too.
Do you have a fine tooth comb to check her for flees? It might also brush out some of the dry skin. Do you know why her skin is so dry?

Ill give you 24 hours with cleo and you'll realise how bad she is she will sit in the hallway and miaow to herself. She looks at me whilst doing it. I say to her "come in the room, come chill" I will pick her up to cuddle her she will then run back out the room and start crying again. She cries when she's hungry, when she needs her litter tray cleaned and she has a little meow for when she's tired. She used to cry when she was sick but that's stopped when she was a kitten everytime she cried i would go see her and now ive encouraged her.

Aw, Cleo. That sounds pretty full on. Sue's a yowler but it's not a daily thing and Thor is so quiet with his little croak.
Does she do other things for attention as well?

Tbh, my old cat Hari as far as I knew, never drank water from her bowl despite me leaving a fresh bowl everyday and she lived until she was 18. That's a lot of washing up and replenishing a water bowl for her never to use it. That said, my old house had a very poorly laid patio with dips in the concrete from which she'd drink rain water so at least I knew she was getting some fluid!

Hi, just wanted to let you know I got good news from my consultant: no migration of the cancer, so just radiotherapy and hormone treatments. So bloody lucky.

Please go for a mammogram if you can. Mine would never have been palpable as it was so deep.

Ive put the fan on Cleo, she's currently lying on the living room floor as she seemed quite hot. Didn't help she was sitting on the windowsill with the sun beaming on her

Given how much cats hate wind, how is she dealing with a fan? Any cat I've had would put it's paw in it and lose a few toebeans!

Lou, if you're concerned about her kidneys there is a powder you can add to her food that helps prevent UTIs.
I'd take a photo but I'm trapped under Susan atm (it's very cold here.)
I'm not sure where my husband got it from.

If it makes you feel any better it's normally male cats who have kidney problems. Something to do with the way their urinary tract is laid out?
My Sue barely drinks water as well, cats are funny like that.
