1 minute into it and I'm already annoyed that the last trailer tricked the viewers into thinking Jake saying "the beef was all real" was about Logan and Alisa when it was actually about him and deji.

So many cheap tricks Shane has used to mislead the viewer. It's not doing him any favours.

Spent ages going on about how nice and lovley Jake and erica are and how they are putting tents up not even for a video...apart from it is for a video as Shane's filming. Theyev been with them for an hour or two and he's very powerful of course they are going to seem all nice and lovley. Shane's probably the most powerful person in the media at the moment. That's easy to fake being nice and misunderstood just being with someone for a few hours.

As predicted they blame the assault allocation on the ex assistant, who they no longer have contact with.

Lots of cutting of the camera for private conversations, kinda defeats the point of it all.

Erica and Shane going on for ages about poor Jake Paul, the pressure he's under, all the people that have betrayed him, he's surrounded by yes men while sad slow piano music plays. Oh come on

Totally agree. Not only am I disappointed in (as I said in various contexts on here) how he handled the diagnosing-mental-illnesses and the inappropiate dramatic-editing, I also think it's dislikeable that you can tell how he plays with his marketing strategies. I like Shane as a person so so much, but this series shows that he is not just the boy-next-door who's just filming some vlogs and has no idea. His behaviour is so staged and acted and the way he merchandises his vlogs. teasers, overdramatic embedding, teasing everybody on twitter on purpose, acting, stretching the series over maybe a month, promising things that won't happen and putting Jake only in the last part.

He's made a mistake with this, should have done a socialpathic show and a Jake show separately.

Many will get bored before he even meets Jake. I skipped to the end saw he didn't meet anyone but a low rent YouTube person and didn't bother watching much of it. I know what a socialpath is and don't need to see Shane's amateur dramatics.

Philip De’Franco is talking about the backlash, I didn’t see his Instagram stories about it (Shane) over the weekend? First time I’ve heard of it but this was a good take on it.
He doesn’t attack him and is really balanced in the end.
He’s a friend of his so I suppose it’s yet another Tanacon take on controversy. No matter what, make your friends look ok ?

I’ve not watched today’s upload just yet but I did watch this over the weekend, Shane himself drew attention to it on part 2 of this 82 part series.

It’s the True Geordie podcast, all 2 hours worth. But the first 40 min covers all the Shane Dawson conversation.
I agree with so much of what he says, Geordie can be an arse but his usually always right on things like this.
However he’s not exactly innocent when it comes to bending over backwards to accommodate the Paul’s

II knew he had a problematic past but I didn't know its extent.

I don't believe his past was as dark as he claims it was.Many people online exaggerate about their past because they want to excuse their current behaviors. If his past was soo problematic then why there are lots of clips with him and his mom having a good time? and he also had a good relationship with his cousin and had a lot of friends. I call BS.

I'm slightly confused why Shane claims he was so busy and put in so much work to the makeup line...He helped come up with names, picked shades for an already created formula, and yes/no packaging. I could do that all in an afternoon...

No normal or innocent person "jokes" about or justifies child abuse or paedophilia. I can't believe some people are actually saying "he's grown". This person does not deserve a platform to air disgusting sexual or racist views. He should not have access or to or influence over any young people. The expression hiding in plain sight comes to mind. Google jimmy savile. His past actions and carefully crafted "apologies" are abhorrent and unforgivable and I truely hope people value child protection more than YouTube content or money. Just my opinion!

Shane is coming off as a bit of a sociopath with all his fake playing up for attention and advertising a mental health app despite make a fortune just from the ads. It's not a real documentary, is a budget one on a shoestring with just his friend holding the camera.

I've heard about his past videos and the past podcast too. It's all so crazy right now. SMH.

People have been taking about Shane's old videos e.g. black youtubers and no one wanted to listen to them.

His ex Lisa unfollowed him everywhere after her apology about video of them and Shane's cousin ( which I couldn't even finish watching it was so disturbingly wrong) ,bit hypocritical to try to disassociate now and look like she wasn't a part of problem when in fact while she was dating Shane he was making lots of disgusting content so she must've known.

and then there is Gabbie Hanna that stated that Shane told her that Jeffree Star was still using the N word. WOW. This just gets crazier by the minute.

I much preferred YouTube when all content was that long.

No way will I be watching this with how drawn out and lacking in substance the Jake Paul stuff was.

I’ve never been a fan of Shane
but he made an absolute fool of himself with the Jake Paul documentary, first of all by dragging it out,
then the breakdowns because of the tiniest bit of criticism which pushed back the next episode so he could re-edit.. again... and again... and again.
And finally after so many weeks the documentary revealed we wasted our time and nothing more.
The Eugenia Cooney “interview” was the nail in the coffin for me.

Will the fake therapist Kate be dragged back into this one
I don’t like him as a person and can’t understand the attraction.
