A lift won’t be helpful unless the entire house is also being built for that. Handrails, ramps, a walk in shower, low benches, wide doorways etc. Isn’t it usually specific to the person’s needs? For example my house has features for an elderly person to get around easily and safely, but not a wheelchair user.

There are some generalised housing mods that are reasonably one-size-fits-all, such as ensuring hallways in new builds are sufficient width for a power chair, ramps, etc. But certainly, for an individual, a needs assessment would be necessary and a house modified for their specific needs.

The lift they're putting in sounds like it's more about moving things between the levels than people, which can still have its uses in old age, as they can put shopping in the lift and have a stair-lift installed for themselves.

Alright, some reason TikTok algorithm took me on a journey of ‘influencer’ homes that they are building. Compared to Shannon’s house their houses aren’t too bad. Lauren Curtis home she built looks ‘warm’ in the sense that her furniture doesn’t look ‘cold’
I had to giggle to myself cause, like anything Shannon’s taste has always been very bland. I spose influencers go for more of an aesthetic. Rather than making it feel like home for them.

I think a lot of it has to do with how it's being advertised on social media too, and the amount of promises they will make. You can see in the before and after photos how much different and worse they will look each time, but the companies will claim their procedures are going to help different areas in the future, and that swollen or unflattering bits will heal with time etc

A lot of people who get fillers/Botox and up regretting it eventually. Most people who administer it will give you a massive list of problem areas too, especially in America.

I just had a look at his insta, he ‘looks the same’ as Shan in as much as they both look like they’re allergic to bees and have had their heads trapped in a box of them! Awful! They look like shaved, poorly squirrels who’ve stored their nuts on the cheeks.

Yeah I don't think fillers and botox are good things really, well unless they are for a medical reason. Maybe they work for her jaw problem which is great and I know that some people have them in their arm pits for excessive sweating but as for vanity I think it has the opposite effect and I'd rather grow old and have wrinkles.
