I uploaded a buttload of baby clothes on Vinted yesterday - and honestly the cheek of some people with their offers. I already feel like I’ve low-balled the price of the items as it is and I have 15% bundle discounts switched on and STILL people want more money off. Block, block, block.

Received a dress complete with some kind of animal hair all over it, absolutely gross the condition is also awful. It’s only fit for the bin. How are people ok sending this?! Lesson learnt from me, never buy without more pics of condition. Ugh

Questions for those who sell. I have purchased a grand total of three things on Vinted. I paid full price because they were so cheap already I felt like I was being rude paying what I did. I have lots of clothes that I was now thinking of putting up myself. I want rid of them but having read these threads I can see that most people make offers. Do you put your items up slightly higher so you get an acceptable offer? Does everyone make an offer? Is it worth the hassle. My local charity shop is overwhelmed and I don’t want to just throw out expensive clothes. It’s not design stuff - just high end high street like Zara, boden etc. but I am still going to donate what I get so want to get a good total. Is it worth the hassle?

I do put things slightly higher to pre-empt offers, I'd say half of my sales are someone just buying it without making an offer first / me sending an offer

It can be worth the hassle at times,there's still good people out there,but the bad far outweigh them now. To be honest I have tried both tactics,and honest nowadays it seems you have to price up,as no matter how low you go,you get offers and the lower the price,the more you get.

I say this about favourites. It's very rare I get any buyers at all that have favoured my items.

If you are going to donate the money from your clothes then I think a way to make this a lot easier and more efficient for you would be to donate the clothes directly to the charity Smart Works. This organisation provides clothes and advice for women getting back into the workplace. It is supported by many women I know and it entirely reputable. Your quality clothes would be used by women going to interviews and needing to feel confident. It's what I have done with my smarter more formal clothes.

Vinted suggested I list a pair of leather/suede sandals for £10. They're new with tags. I paid £60 for them

So someone ordered a bundle of things I had up a while, surprise, surprise a non collection. I have a feeling it's someone I have upset lol,no reviews,no sales etc. I really think there should be some sort of payment put in place whereby if they don't collect they still have to pay a set amount. Even if it's a couple of pound,that would stop it. I did message to say I had sent,not even read. Sent her a message this morning to say they'll be on the way back and don't expect me to collect either. Yes,it's petty but I am sick of these people wasting my time

Yep. Like if you order from Smyths toys for collection and don't collect they charge a £2 fee to cover their time

I've got an £22 order that's been in someone's Evri shop for 10 days now. I messaged to check she was aware it was delivered. Silence so I know she won't bother to collect.

I'm on holiday from next week so it'll likely get returned whilst I'm away and left on my door by Evri....

I’ve had my £1 non-collected item returned back to me. It’s saying I need to click to confirm receipt. What happens if I just don’t click to say I’ve got it back?

Nothing. They won’t get their refund. I refuse to confirm because these people will learn the hard way, that if you jerk people around and waste their time/packaging/petrol sending this to them, and then collecting the return, then they’ll have to wait for their money. Hopefully that will act as a deterrent from doing the same to other people.

Bad behaviour shouldn’t be enabled/rewarded.

I wanted to share it with you, because this woman is an influencer, and today in her stories, she is influencing her followers to get on to Vinted and make really cheeky offers. Apparently, today is a good day to get on Vinted and throw out ‘crazy’ offers, because they’re being accepted.

Do they,I didn't know that,and I genuinely do not blame them,it would put a stop to it immediately imo. Yeah mine was about the same amount,it's not a lot to some people but it's the principle of it.

I had two around Christmas, and I just never confirmed receipt. Weeks, probably even months went by and I assume the buyer chased Vinted and it was closed/cancelled I guess manually by vinted so she got her refund, but yes, i’m not going to make it easy for these time wasting people.

So,last night I had a message saying "what address have you sent this to ? " Your address was my reply. "Do you know it ? " I replied and said No I don't see people's address if it's relay or a Inpost as it's a qr code. It was a relay I think,I have no way of checking as the sale completed 9 days ago ! Twice this has happened to me buyers asking where there parcel is when they've allegedly had it. My point is why would you order something have money come out your balance or bank and not question it till over a week later ?
