Secret Celebrity Gossip #251

I've been reading all the posts on that thread and I just had to copy and paste this one as it's the most adorable thing I've ever read- so it's not me saying it, it's someone else:

"I've never met a British celebrity who was bad; just the opposite actually. British Olympic Gold Medalist Robin Cousins, along with American Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton, (skaters) made my mom their honored guest in the 1980s. She was a HUGE fan of skating.

My mom passed in 2018 at age 90, and on her deathbed only a couple hours before she died, my mom said the 24 hours that she spent with Cousins and Hamilton was the happiest most fun day of her life.

They treated her as if she was their own mother; bought her a fancy dinner after their show. They gathered all the flowers thrown by the audience at the shows conclusion and gave them to my mom.

They walked her, one on each side as she held their arms. They engaged her in conversation with genuine interest.

Mom didn't know that she was going to even meet them, let alone be adopted by them."
They all seemed to really like Norman Wisdom. Not so much Katie Price.

That was just an excuse to give me the chance to ask if other members get a burst of affection when reading a really funny comment?
YES! I’d never though of it that way before, but that’s such a sweet way of putting it!
Like “you sat and typed that out and it made me, some random stranger, laugh out loud, thank you”.

I skated a lot and grew up around Scott, he is a lovely lovely guy - loads of good stories about him from me over the years! Christopher Dean is a self absorbed fool but he indulged in talking to my fanboy dad over Face Time the 1st time we met because I told him if it weren't for him and Jayne I'd never have skated because my dad loved watching them so much. I met Robin Cousins briefly at Europeans in Sheffield this year - he was very nice - and Prince Edward waved back at me when I passed him at the arena 🤣

I have got a lot of figure skating stories 🤣

If you do go, a tip, don't BYOB.

The reason you see ladies falling over drunk (and later appearing in the Daily Mail) is because they're stopped from bringing in their many cans of Bacardi and Coke at the gates. So they down them all at once before they're let in, with predictable results.

I love a day at the races - Epsom Derby is great but Cheltenham week is like being in an old-school football terrace, you literally are squashed in on some parts of the course.

To make this celebrity-related, a mate was at Kempton Park for the King George on Boxing Day several years back, Clocked Rod Stewart and then-wife Rachel Hunter in the same set of hospitality suites. She was so stunning that he deliberately moved himself into position so that she could tap him on the shoulder and say "Excuse me" on her way back from the ladies
I'm just back from Ascot, I can confirm that there were loads of girls flashing way more flesh than Lizzie Cundy, but there are different dress codes for each enclosure which I'm sure she knew. I was more shocked by the table next to us openly snorting c, I'm not a prude and I've done all that back in the 80s/90s but not quite like that .clutching my pearls 😯

Apparently she gave an interview where she discussed having had her tina surgically enhanced and that it now squeaks when she walks.

Yeh.
Class.
I doubt her plan in revealing this detail was to make everyone think that’s she’s basically taking in air as she walks and musically varting her way along the street 💨🎶💨🎶💨🎶

They are both independently wealthy.
Their son is grown up.
Why not sell the house, or one buy the other out.
I do not understand why Ruth feels she should get the house.
Both daft, as they will spend so much on legal fees...not very bright are they...
I don't think he is that wealthy now as he had to pay the taxman £250,000 which he appealed and then lost. With the costs of the appeal and other accrued expenses I think his bill was over one and half million. He put down on his tax paperwork he was self employed however HMRC refused this and said he was employed by ITV for presenting This Morning. After his divorce he has had to sell 2 homes to pay off his debts and now he is not earning much due to poor health. His new girlfriend looks high maintenance so no doubt he is paying towards her lifestyle.

I’m not sure I believe the stories about JLo not singing on her own songs and it’s a backing singer. There are songs like “Play” where her voice is drowned out in the chorus by Christina Milian, but I do believe it’s her voice on the verses. There are also live performances out there that demonstrate that her live vocal is pretty much spot on with her recorded vocal. But the live vocal is definitely nowhere near as good as it is on records as she isn’t a good live singer.
It’s been something of an open secret for a while. Some of the vocals on her songs are hers, but there are a lot of ‘contributed’ vocals from others too

Anyone else thinking it was Cundy’s squeaking tina that got her banned, not the dress 🤔 Posh people do not want to hear that sort of thing squealing away in their enclosure while eating canapés and downing champagne, especially if royalty are present.

Please post them - I'm not particularly interested in figure skating myself (although I'm not totally ignorant either) but I'd still like to hear them and I bet there are some fans on here who'd love to hear them too.

Jerry Sadowitz?

View attachment 4028593

Much as I like him..........................................nah.
I once went to see Sadowitz, I got the tickets as a present for someone. I vaguely remembered Sadowitz doing magic on tv late at night when I was young and had seen him in the Shaman video, but really knew nothing about his stuff. Anyway, our seats turned out to be at the front and Jerry decided to pick me out at one point, as he noticed that I wasn’t laughing at certain points. I had prepared myself for this, as I was the only woman sat at the front but I always like to be ready with a quip. I came back at him with a withering joke, which he then repeated to the audience and I got a round of applause. I found it funny that I got away with it!

She's always been dedicated on her physical health and looks, I'll give her that. Whatever you think of her, she's always had that going for her.

She doesn't drink, smoke, eat unhealthy. Genetics and being a lifelong dancer helps too, but she's always been in tip top shape.
Sounds boring to me 😎
