When I was 23/24 or even now, if I announced I was going on a trip, on my own, with my older boss and it wasn’t work related, my parents and my friends would be asking some serious questions. Even if they aren’t shagging, there’s a level of intimacy that comes with going on holiday with someone that takes it way beyond professionalism.
