When you are young, you may not realize that a relationship or sexual encounters were wrong/abusive etc. Don't know whether it's true that watching the Huw Edwards program prompted him to report again.
The new bit is apparently the bbc didn't know before that he was under 16, leading me to conclude they were ok with sexual offences as long as the victim wasn't underage.
So much unknown, seems like the bbc are handling this with their usual half assed storyline. Is it really not possible to lay out a coherent timeline.
The BBC have been useless due to being vague. We don't know where Scott knows him from or his side. It doesn't seem a Matthew Mcgreevy situation.

Kept in contact with Scott for at least eight years after the alleged abuse happened. Why would he report something new now ten years after he first reported it and whatever it is why didn't he report it at the time?
A 23/24 year old having a sexual relationship with someone under 16 is wrong and illegal, it's irrelevant when it is reported.

If Scott has broken the law like you're saying why hasn't he been arrested? We don't know the details. Maybe Scott knew he was underage and slept with him. Maybe Scott kissed him and didn't realise how young he was. Maybe the person lied for some reason and they simply knew eachother but nothing physical ever happened. We the public have no idea.

I feel more will come out in future and we'll see if this was an innocent misunderstanding or more of an HE situation. If you like a person it is difficult to imagine they have done something awful, I know I initially found it difficult to believe the HE allegations, time will tell..

His friends don't even know, apart from Scott might be suing for unfair dismissal.

I feel like it would die down if he didnt have his presenter supporters making futher headlines on him. I thought it was a non story and perhaps its not but being The BBC they have bad form with the Hew Edwards doc and Strictly CD toxic show its unlikely the BBC will fuel the fire but Jeremy Vine has and that publicity has made it more mainstream. Now you wonder if its a PhillSchofield style story.

From the above linked article

'He was fired nine days ago after bosses were made aware that the alleged victim of a serious sexual offences probe against Mills in 2017 was under 16. It was confirmed last week that the accusations related to a male who was aged between 13 and 16 at the time of the alleged offences, which are said to have run from 1997 into the 2000s, when Mills was in his 20s.'

So it wasn't one incident and the victim was vague about which year it took place, as some have suggested. Rather a series of offences which took place over the time span

The first album was excellent wasn’t it? I had such high hopes for them after that but it’s almost like they put their best work into the first album and then couldn’t sustain it.
The rumour is after the first album, he started wanting more control using the 'I'm the reason we are so big' boast as they had been a band before he joined but didn't get far and the other two went along with it. The second album Palo Santo was mostly him with just input from them and it became more obvious he saw it as HIS band and eventually they decided to leave. I think in the beginning they still worked with him a bit but it petered out and the third album was all him yet it flopped which showed that yeah, he had a good voice but he needed the other two to make decent songs.

Because there wasn’t enough evidence for the CPS to support him being charged.

That doesn’t mean he didn’t do anything, or that he did. But we do know that the police investigated and found some evidence, which was presented to the CPS.

He seems to think he is some groundbreaking artiste, but he just screams musical theatre school pick me, he comes across as so desperate.

He did a programme for the BBC about 'growing up gay' interviewing some people who for various reasons really struggled coming out etc, and the whole thing was just cringe af. It ended up being mostly him whining about his own experiences, he seems very self obsessed.

His solo career hasn't exactly been a success, it's clear most of the talent in Years and Years came from the other band mates, I imagine they got tired of his schtick.
They’re not tired of him at all, Mikey had a baby on the way and Emre was struggling being away from his very young children. They’re still very close and see each other a lot.

Yep, it was clearly a relationship. 😕 and if it ran 3 years and he was underage during that time then it started when the boy was 13! Surely it can't have done? #begging

That might not be true age of consent was 18 back then, so he could've been 15-18/19 Only thing we know is under 16 at the start

Has anybody come forward? PSchofield had that lad sign an NDA right? But they run out so theres always a chance he may speak out and I thinkthats a reason why PS never returned because wielded his power to silence and after all the queuegate of him and Holly acting high and Mighty people wanted to see justice for the lad. Know his side. Accountability is key. Power ans wealth hides things. PS and Holly situation ruined Ruth and Eamonns careers at This Morning. Holly never had a comeback as she tried divorcing from the situaton. That was bad advice as accountability and truth is better. The victim should be given their voice not the PR teams of celebs. I will always wonder if that lad was ok with how he was treated by those at ITV. I hope he is happy.
You can be at the top of your showbiz career and have a downfall so big if you let ego take over. But I think Holly and Phils downfall was egos. Long before that big story they were out of favour with the public. ITV ignore their audience just like with Loose Women and Lorraine. Some presenters viewers are long fedup with so they dont watch these shows now.
I barely watch TV because its full of unbareable entitled presenters.

There’s an article this morning claiming they remained in touch for 8 years after the allegation.

Lawyers were involved - he wanted to keep the band name which wasn’t really his, and so they (the founding members) had to be paid off.

Did the other two form first and then bought him in later then? I must admit I assumed they all started it together. I think he was more charismatic when they were a bit of an enigma but somehow how he comes across as a bit unlikeable.

I’m not sure TBH but I know they had to do a deal because he couldn’t just walk off with the band name, and rights etc. had to be carved up. And when they signed there would have been stuff saying they couldn’t ag each other off etc. (there always is in these kind of agreements). It was not that amicable.
