Carrying on from previous thread…..
Wow, surely those prices are unsustainable!5 pens on uk meds for saxenda is £374.I’m sorry I’d rather be fat than spend that much!
Thank you! That's good to know.Just wanted to check back in with @Somerset girl about the subscription thing re Numan - it actually is a subscription; I didn't notice when I ordered, it must have been automatic. But it looks like you can cancel easily by emailing, and you can also pause your subscription, too. Just wanted to flag
I am day three on my first ever ozempic too. I felt nothing day 1, yesterday had the worst heartburn and gas and today no symptoms. I’ve definitely not been as hungry and not eaten as much days 2&3 though so hoping it’s working! Hope it works for you!Day 3 of my first ever dose of ozempic. No symptoms at all.
That’s not how drugs prices work, Viagra took years to come down in price and that was after generics came in the market after their patent ran out, a patent lasts 10 yrsWow, surely those prices are unsustainable!
My doctor was saying that once we get past this initial phase where demand is outstripping supply, he thinks it will become super mainstream and more affordable, similar to how Viagra used to be on prescription and quite pricy, but is now cheap enough and available over the counter.
Let’s hope that the pharma companies figure out how to 100x production and that sends the price downwards. Also I believe all the main products are coming from one company for now, surely the rest of them can figure out how to make something similar, which would also help.
My side effects:Day one of ozempic and no real symptoms yet other than not much appetite (could be placebo) One thing i have noticed is I hate some lemon tart and got really bad acid reflux which is not normal for me, like burning feeling bad. Has this happened to anyone else?
The problem seems to be price gouging from the retailers rather than the drug price, here there can be 30-50 difference in a box of 5 Saxenda pens, whereas they are paying the same price at source for the meds. That’s not how drugs prices work, Viagra took years to come down in price and that was after generics came in the market after their patent ran out, a patent lasts 10 yrs
