I was the same but now find them super annoying and bland while trying too hard to be outrageous
As someone else said, they don’t have the character or charisma to pull it off. They just look awkward with these “outrageous” outfits.
Also what’s with the sweating? I noticed it on Graham Norton too. Wouldn’t surprise me if they're on the coke. Sad really.
He's not cut out for these outrageous clothes he can't carry it offits a bit like Prince Charles turning up to his coronation in a pvc thong with a ponty bra and purple feathers in his hair, a big no no!

I have become increasingly irritated by Sam recently- simply because it feels like their music is being overplayed.

) but what makes you say that? Is it their weight? Their personality? The fact that their image has changed so much? Or that it simply doesn’t suit him?Someone like Harry Styles seems to be better liked and can get away with slightly more outrageous outfits. Is it just because he’s more cool? Better looking? Slimmer?
I’m not challenging you, I’m just intrigued myself because I definitely find Harry more palatable and I don’t know why!
I dont think ita a size thing. You can tell its a try hard thing here. Just to get noticed and media coverage. And it's worked. The latest single is not very good and yet it is getting loads of plays on the Internet due to the controversial video. If that song had been released when Sam was wearing suits it would not have received much attention at all. Smith appears in these Brits photos like it's something they had to do by contract. Doesn't look comfortable or at ease- actually looks in a mood.

You see this is a nice outfit, they look lovely in this. The recent outfits don’t suit them purely because they don’t look happy wearing them. It feels like Sam has been “told” to wear these outfits to stir up attention similarly to when they were “told” to lose weight.
I think the outfit is hideous BUT he rocks it because he looks comfortable and happy. The gif stuff, he just looks rigid and uncomfortable. I don’t know if he’s just trying to be cool or something but he just looks embarrassed
He looks a hell of a lot more comfortable performing these days though. I always remember seeing this performance years ago and feeling quite sorry for him, being so clearly nervous.
This was and is such a tune, would much rather listen and watch this on repeat than the hell hole that's his new album.

I feel now like he isn’t comfy still, but he’s possibly just listening to bigger people who are ‘guiding him’ (or being wapped of his bits on prescription or non prescription stuff……) plus, a big stage show hides flaws, the live lounge really doesn’t so I can get the nerves going now.
I half question if this is why he’s shoved out in the press by publicists, they WILL get rid of shy nervous sam smith because the whole show gazing alternative kid scene has moved on from that. Kids want confidence, but sam smith is too old for the tiktok crowd tbh.
One of my colleagues sons had this for his first dance at his wedding. Loved his collaborations with Disclosure, been Downhill ever since imo
