A Facebook friend posted a joke post about his outfit earlier and I made some funny comments about how he looked like if you stuck a pin in him he’d fly round the room making a farting sound before falling to the floor in a sad deflated heap. Apparently that makes me a ‘bigot’. Emperors New Clothes, and all that.

I was on Twitter and saw Billy Connolly trending and worried for a minute I was gonna find out some bad news. It turns out Sam's 'Outfit' reminded many of a routine he did years ago about incontinence trousers.
You probably know already, but just a polite reminder, Sam uses they/them pronouns, as they are non-binary. Nothing wrong with your comments about their outfit, I just wanted to give you the heads up.
I know this isn’t a popular opinion here, but I used to find Sam Smith super annoying and bland. Now with every outfit that they come out in I just love them more and more. I just think go for it, it’s not hurting anyone.

I thought the Unholy performance was pretty good - their voices were great - but for all the props I was expecting an extended version or something, not the usual 3 minute single. All that effort!!
Also have noticed that Sam doesn’t feel comfortable doing any dance routines and that’s it - if they were really performing and owning the look and feel of outfits then they’d look 100 times better no matter how ridiculous the gear is itself.

He looks like a lunatic. What a waste of PVC fabric, that will have only been worn for this event and now sit useless in a storage unit. He looks like he’s under the influence of something or someone, I can only see this spiraling.

I actually can’t decide if he is driving this and craves the attention and wants these outfits, to shock and get fame, or, if he’s been told if he wants this latest album out then he needs to go down this pornographic, fetishy route and he’s actually gritting his teeth hating it all.
Whichever one it is, the result is he looks desperate, unwashed, sweaty, and detracting from any talent he once had. I’ve never been a fan of his voice but I did like his initial suits and jewellery when he first started.

I know they say there is no such thing as bad publicity but …. He is been laughed at for his stupid outfits. They aren’t edgy, they just look desperate. He doesn’t have the character to carry it off, he looks like someone trying too hard. Or sweaty as he wipes his forehead in the rubber suit. Shame really, I like his music - I do wonder if he is a serious drug user now and so out of it he doesn’t care, also surrounded by Yes people who tell him what to do etc etc.

He really is one or many sandwiches short of a picnic!! Wouldnt surprise me if he just puts all this on as a show as he knows itll get him publicity etc
It confuses the duck out of me too. I just go with it because I don’t actually know anyone in real life that demands it so I really only have to remember to do it very rarely for celebrities that go by it.

Probably, a bit like lady gaga and her meet dress. I can’t knock it.
When Sam first appeared, Sam seemed lovely, a bit like Adele or Ed Sheeran in terms of slow sad music for those older women who don’t really ‘like’ music apart from stuff they can wail to after a bottle ‘with these girls 
’ , but some of that first album was amazing, Like I Can is a banger!
but then Sam lost all the weight and just looked wrong and it felt really try hard, but I don’t think it got the attention they wanted, they still never seemed to have the relationship they were craving. which l think was the cause of it, I wouldn’t be surprised if ss doesn’t ‘reveal’ a relationship what ‘changed it all’ from that time.
And they seem to just have spiralled into this person now who is trying to hard the other way to get noticed and clapped even more weight on, but rather than just embracing it, it feels to try hard. It’s almost like the scene in teachers where the kid comes out and starts being Freddie Mercury. It feels like they have looked at tiktok, seen what They think is cool on the scene and are just doing it. But no one can say you are trying waaaay too hard mate because you jsut don’t seem to be able too. But really, whilst they seem to want to be an icon, there’s a lot of more subtle gender queer people who parents would guide kids to look at. it’s just sad really- I bet he proper hates Harry Styles…..
And it all takes away from what he could have done, coz the middle of the road make a million doing boring wedding/divorce songs market is a money spinner- ask Ed!!

If you identify as non binary, can you be gay? Someone please educate me. My understanding is that if you identify as non binary, you don’t align with any sex, so if you’re sexless can you be homosexual? I’m old and confused 🫤
