Why does she have to be so bloody rude?
If the average rate of hair growth being about half an inch per month is accurate (it is for me, I think), then that's close to a year's worth of dark regrowth on Sali. 10 months maybe.
I think it's code for 'duck off'.
Also I don't think people are worrying about her hair, they're judging. (Well, I am...)

She would be tiring to be around, as I imagine she would take offence at almost everything and constantly look for opportunities of one-upmanship.

I presume she sees even the most minor perceived negative query or comment as originating from Tattle. Therefore she has to always be defensive and in snippy mode to show she's aware of our little games.

This was suggested as a title (by @Jelly Bean) a few threads back and got lots of votes. It was only outvoted by one of our best ever (IMO) titles: The girl with the pigeon tattoo.
Yeah Snippy Sali is so hilarious because these moments usually come from the most cheerfully inoffensive questions and comments.
