Truly the elephant in the room and odd the journalist didn’t mention it. Also pretending to promote the simple things in life/making memories all rings rather hollow in the context of conspicuous luxury. & sorry Saff, but most influencers are regarded as entirely vapid because they are…! However she does at least have a brain in her head and is significantly better at her job than most.

I fundamentally like her too. I think that’s why I bother to critique the things I don’t like as much here. While probably an overshare I don’t think the crying was staged or exaggerated personally, when I was pregnant I would sob at absolutely everything. Also I didn’t find my own displays of such intense emotion strange at the time as in such a hormonal fug, maybe she’s the same. Looking back I must have seemed quite unhinged though! She may regret a little.

This is true - and I’ve never been pregnant so can’t comment on the emotions and hormones, but it just felt very unlike her to be so viscerally emotional. I know she talks a lot about emotions but I was surprised (and a little worries - parasocial I guess…!)

I think this is the issue with all influencers in this style, basically they start just showing bits of their lives and end up showing more and more once they quit their real jobs. I think 2 years ago, pregnant or otherwise, you wouldn't have imagined someone like her with a pretty good and consistent channel crying on camera like this

Yes defo, and you can see the pipe from an old gas fire or rad sticking out the floorboards by the chimney breast. So you know there’s lots of lovely redundant pipework. One I know from my own, ahem, “reno”. I’m a sucker for that sort of content so pleased, but actually living through it isn’t for the weak and Saff’s experience of trades thus far seems to be getting someone from Taskrabbit to knock a nail in for a picture. And Zac doesn’t seem the DIY type either. It already looks nicer than their old place though which was very bland and rental-like.
