As a side note, my GP gave me anti nausea meds, (which didn’t really help tbh), and my parents made me feel guilty for taking medication whilst pregnant, saying it would be better if I didn’t and could try to manage without…

Anyway, my daughter has autism and I have never been able to shake off that niggling doubt that there could indeed be a connection. So, Saff, if you are reading this, do you REALLY need the meds???
This is so toxic, dangerous and unfair. To be available in the UK the medicine will have been rigorously tested and been found safe. No link between autism and medicine has ever been proven. Why evidence do you have that there is one beyond a ‘niggling doubt’? Are you RFK Jr?

Women are so often unfairly shamed for their choices during pregnancy and I think you have internalised your parents unscientific views here. If she feels sick she should take the pills!

i don’t even like Saff but this conversation is so toxic. why does anyone care if she chooses to have meds, everyone has a difference tolerance to feeling unwell and if something can help why not take it 🤷‍♀️ morning sickness isn’t a competition

Her parents were probably only worrying and their daughter & unborn grandchild and no doubt thinking about the Themadelide tragedy.

As a woman, I personally would not want to make a huge mistake whilst pregnant and regret it for the rest of my life.
Comparing Thalidomide in the 50s/60s to current NHS approved medication is completely ridiculous. Stop fear-mongering and shaming women when you are clearly not a medical professional and therefore not qualified to be making such ridiculous judgements.

Saff shared that she’s lost almost 4k in followers from her anti-ICE/immigration stories - it’s nice to see someone to acknowledge their privilege and stand up for what they believe in, not just turn a blind eye or carry on shilling aff links as the world burns.

Alcohol at a children’s party… no matter how much money you have it’s tacky Saff. Also Saff makes me think of sapphire, which makes me think of a seedy stripper…
I'm not her biggest fan but is this not completely normal? Definitely is where I'm from. Especially for a one year old, the party is more for the adults

Saff is insufferable, but oh my goodness calm down. Offering a few glasses of fizz at a social gathering of friends and family is hardly tacky! I

Bet you're lots of fun to be around 🫠

Came here after the 2016 post she did…wow! Private school girl personified. And her mum getting defensive in the comments saying that they ‘worked hard for it’. Like everyone else doesn’t work hard??? Lol. I work really hard in my job and life but will never be able to send my kids to private school or go skiing every year

As someone who's naturally slim, tall and rich, the 'everyone is on a diet but not me, I love food' comes across as very pick me

Influencers are honestly a different breed of shameless! Openly admitting that she liked the table so emailed the company saying how much she liked it and lo and behold they gifted it 🙄 it’s £1,099 for us mere mortals

I also hate how she used the ‘we were only young 22 year olds when we moved into this flat and we had no money for furniture!’ You were LOADED 22 year olds with gifted deposits buying a house in London it doesn’t quite ring true does it

I can't tell you how glad I am that this thread was finally made - I was in a first year flat with her at Nottingham and she was insufferable (and this was pre being a married yummy mummy! I thought she couldn't get worse but she did). As someone else has mentioned, her dad is the former editor of the Daily Mail, now working as head of comms for Buckingham Palace and her brother Barnaby goes/went to Eton whilst she went to school in Hammersmith. I think it's beyond funny how much she loves to remind everyone her mum is an NHS nurse (I can promise you she's barely scraping 2 full shifts a week, max.) - they have a second home in Sandbanks, among others, for crying out loud so it's very much the luxe life for Saff and her M&S tinny spicy marg. Zak founded TLDR with a couple of posh pals - he used to feature on their podcast a lot, thinking he sounded incredibly profound when in reality he came across as someone with very little life experience.

Oh I should have added this to my previous post - a treat for you all from the archives of i'm-so-young-and-engaged: https://thetab.com/uk/nottingham/2018/11/29/im-engaged-and-a-fresher-am-i-loving-it-40426

I am equally jealous but fascinated at how much her parents are able to help her. She is trying to live a grown-up life while still being very dependent on her parents, I find that quite weird. I mean a lot of people get help from their parents, nothing wrong with it but holidaying, telling your mum the second you done the deed and so on, mhm. Quite weird and not very grown-up in my eyes.

One thing I cannot fathom (I know she is not the only one) is how much she shares of M. for views. She really thinks she is the best mum, who has done a bit of research, but seeing that little girl constantly and knowing her name, where they live and so on makes me often very uncomfortable.

Not to mention all the connections they were born with and the connections you get from private school (plus advice, opportunities, experiences etc from those connections)

I consider myself lucky because my uncle had an estate agency so I got work experience and a decent Sat job from the age of 14. Even now a lot of low level opportunities like Saturday jobs and apprenticeships come about through who you know. And obviously that's not even in the same galaxy as what would've been available to these two. I don't know how these silly poshos continue to kid themselves that the opportunities they have are earned. Even influencing... she's only managed to get ahead with it because she was born with a silver spoon and so her life is instantly aspirational. Nothing to do with hard work from her.

How is she not embarrassed? She's loaded, her boyfriend's loaded, her parents are loaded, his parents are loaded - and yet she's constantly on the scrounge for freebies? Doesn't really fit in with the 'I'm so classy and elegant' vibe snaffling around for free stuff like a bloody raccoon.

Borderline HG trying on multiple dresses on the hottest day of the year and then eating a lobster sandwich after in a moving car. Sorry Saff, but there’s no way you’re even close to HG

Definitely agree that people find the ‘engaged at 18, married at 21, preggo at 24’ thing charming because they’re posh/wealthy. Would be perceived very differently if they were a working class couple from Doncaster.

I find it so rich of her to talk about body positivity/neutrality when her dad was editor of the daily mail, a newspaper known for systemically tearing women down

Especially sat in a flat funded by her parents and therefore her lifestyle is in part funded by this

I think it’s such poor taste that she has been saying she doesn’t want a second child, or reasons not to get pregnant when she was in fact pregnant. For some people who are ttc, they may be watching thinking oh at least I’m not the only one not sure, or not conceiving a second child right now. All for the views ey.
