Keeps posting about how poorly she is and needing anti-nausea meds...and then also eating ridiculous meals and managing very extravagant full days out...
Personally, I wasn't considered unwell enough for anti-nausea meds, and I wouldn't be able to eat half of what she's eating without throwing up! I know everyone's different but find it very hard to be sympathetic when she appears to basically still be living her normal life...can it really be as bad as she is making out?

I was thinking the same. I had terrible hideous sickness the entire duration morning noon night. I couldn't stomach any food, let alone rich and spicy.

Also find it insufferable when she excuses something with ‘well Zac put this baby in me so he’s x’ usually it’s him paying but she makes it sound like she’s had no say in getting pregnant

Having had HG it really really winds me up, like if you and your healthcare professionals feel like you need the tablets take them but it's not something for clickbait!

I felt sick or threw up for the full 42 weeks. I lived on fruit pasties, haribo, crisps and diet coke. It never occurred to me to get meds as I didn't have HG.

I had horrendous first trimester nausea and remember going to bed early one night and crying because I felt so unwell, and knew I had weeks and weeks until it would stop.

Like you @LetticeProtheroe I didn’t get meds as I wasn’t even vomiting.

Interesting…. I had horrendous nausea with my first child. I wasn’t actually sick, but I felt sick ALL day long and it was so miserable. I was constantly planning my exit, wherever I was, in the event that I actually vomited (I constantly felt like I was about to vomit any minute). I was so miserable; I couldn’t face going anywhere or doing anything, and I was eating the blandest of foods.” For weeks. Saff’s lifestyle doesn’t seem to correspond with feeling *THAT* unwell?! As others have pointed out, she feels so sick, why is she out and about all day, and eating such rich and flavoursome foods?! Make it make sense!

As a side note, my GP gave me anti nausea meds, (which didn’t really help tbh), and my parents made me feel guilty for taking medication whilst pregnant, saying it would be better if I didn’t and could try to manage without…

Anyway, my daughter has autism and I have never been able to shake off that niggling doubt that there could indeed be a connection. So, Saff, if you are reading this, do you REALLY need the meds???

i don’t even like Saff but this conversation is so toxic. why does anyone care if she chooses to have meds, everyone has a difference tolerance to feeling unwell and if something can help why not take it morning sickness isn’t a competition

And I think realistically if you're feeling that ill why would you think "what I need to do now is take a photo/video, it's the same as people filming themselves crying

This is so toxic, dangerous and unfair. To be available in the UK the medicine will have been rigorously tested and been found safe. No link between autism and medicine has ever been proven. Why evidence do you have that there is one beyond a ‘niggling doubt’? Are you RFK Jr?


Women are so often unfairly shamed for their choices during pregnancy and I think you have internalised your parents unscientific views here. If she feels sick she should take the pills!

The pregnancy I mentioned where I didn’t take anti nausea meds? He’s autistic. So please don’t blame yourself, or any meds you did or didn’t take look for the autistic traits in family members instead

Her parents were probably only worrying and their daughter & unborn grandchild and no doubt thinking about the Themadelide tragedy.

As a woman, I personally would not want to make a huge mistake whilst pregnant and regret it for the rest of my life.

Comparing Thalidomide in the 50s/60s to current NHS approved medication is completely ridiculous. Stop fear-mongering and shaming women when you are clearly not a medical professional and therefore not qualified to be making such ridiculous judgements.

I haven't fear mongered or shamed anyone. I gave my personal thoughts.

Personally, I'd go with my own instinct..having experienced medical negligence first hand from the NHS I dont fully trust anyone other than myself!

Spoiler: Morning sickness chat

On the subject of morning sickness, I'll just add that I was diagnosed with HG when i was pregnant and my doctor added that she would refer me for therapy. When I questioned this, she said that HG is considered a type of pregnancy trauma

Back to Saff, she does always look so elegant and put together. When I saw the dress on the hanger, I thought it would look like a tent on her but it looks lovely.

I wonder if she'll end up getting an au pair once she has 2 kids and a (presumably) larger house.
