She’s home I thought she was going for a couple of weeks- all the preparations for weeks and the clothes was ridiculous for 7 days. Influencing at its best I suppose
Wasn't even a week away was it? IMO, not a holiday for a 1yo.
I’m not jumping to her defence but there is no such thing as a holiday for a 1 year old and just because they had a kid doesn’t mean they shouldn’t still go places and do things and teach her that the world doesn’t revolve around her. Peppa pig world wouldn’t even be a holiday for a 1 year old, they give zero people about anything other than milk and wotsits. Took my kid at 7 to Disney land and 3 years later she can hardly remember it, I didn’t go on holiday with my parents until I was about 11 and I am just fine, peoples worlds don’t need to change just because they have kids.
I was surprised that she was back so soon. I thought it was a fortnight break. Couldn’t do with going that far for a week.

Trying to live the same life pre children does not work.
Having children myself. I know that holiday is not worth the hassle.

Of course. Add in, the gruelling travel/flights, time change..baby unsettled as not in their home environment, food changes, teething, possible illness/temperatures they get sods law always the most inconvenient times that come on in a nano.Kids like animals right? A safari where they can see cool animals seems to make sense. It's just like a bigger zoo or petting area. Makes sense to me! What is a 1 year old friendly holiday anyway
Not to de- rail but I absolutely disagree. If children aren’t introduced to travel and the world around them, then when will you do it? I took my 4 month old to America. She was fine, travelled great because we just took bottles for the flight and she slept. No sickness, neither up nor down with jet lag, it was easy. Sent her to nursery at 9 months old and she was sick for weeks with bugs but has been in school for 5 years now and has never had a sick day. I’m not sure of your point, illness will happen wherever and whenever. I’m not gonna wrap my kid up and never leave the house. I’m also not going to spend my whole life eating McDonald’s happy meals and going to soft plays. We took my one year old to Barcelona and stayed in the W, went sightseeing seeing with her in the pram and took regular breaks to sit in the beach or play in a park. She ate everything we ate and sat nicely for an hour lunch while we had some wines. I want a kid that knows how to behave and do what I ask, I didn’t have a kid to spend my existence in softplay and watching Miss Rachel.
Good to hear your happy holiday success story..having travelled the world pre children..did not work for us once babies came. The age of 1year to coming up 3 was awful. Amongst our friend group/family. experienced same as us.We changed our holidays for a few years until they were ready . Never been to peppa pig world, didnt holiday at soft plays, there are hols abroard more suitable. The sudden onset of temperature, quick onset teething, earache, tonsillitis is highly common when they are v young
and floored us every time..a holiday with young ones is definitely not the same as a holiday pre children.

Seeing more of the safari holiday it highlights their life is nothing remotely like the majority, even my middle class with v good income family. Saff always has a 'village' - her terminology. She is beyond privileged. She is aware how difficult parenting is, more challenging than she imaginrd pre baby - she did say she once had planned two babies close gap, since Margot has changed her mind.
So Saff goes on about her mother being a practice nurse.. you can bet your bottom dollar it’s not in inner london either. She drives up from Devon in the defender to do a Margot Monday 
- Saff is obviously privileged as is her husband.. yet she grifts like the best of them, Gifted expensive bags and clothes which she passes on to the mother - a F&M Easter hamper ..does she give back I’m thinking

They are most privileged and WELL off on both sides that is for sure. And mornings are manic in their house? What a load of tit, trying getting kids to school/nursery and yourself to work for 9am! Not pissing about going to Pilates and handing the baby over to the nanny!
