I think it’s quite an unimaginative music video. Tired of everything being so sleazy with her. It’s like going back in time to the early 2000s tbh.
Yes! When I listen to it, I definitely envisaged like an actual tour of a Barbie dreamhouse. Sabrina is very Barbie-coded, so it would’ve been perfectIt’s not really what I was expecting but it’s very her. I had in my vision it would be very Barbie Dreamhouse coded.
Just checked and it was both of them. It definitely feels like they were using the last of the budget or something. I like the idea of copying the bling ring, but it wasn’t well executedI think Margaret directed it. It’s very meh
Just finished watching, it was fantastic, love the theme. She’s a brilliant performer and never looks nervousJust catching up on the Coachella set and so far it’s really good!
Even if she hasn’t heard it before I think it’s her reaction that was a problemIt’s a bit gauche that she referred to a member of the audience as doing ‚yodelling‘, when it was the zaghrouta. Has she never heard that before?
I am no fan of her music and imagery, so this had just added to my criticisms. Her response didn’t read as sarcastic, it was ignorant and rude. I love the sound of the zaghrouta and would much rather listen a woman doing that, than Carpenter’s music.Even if she hasn’t heard it before I think it’s her reaction that was a problem
it’s not uncommon for a more quiet and calm moment to be interrupted by someone clapping loudly or shouting something to get the artists’ attention and most of the time it gets politely acknowledged. Even if it’s just part of her sarcastic on stage persona it would have been so easy to play off safely after they said it was their culture and explained what it was
I have a hard time believing that anyone with any PR training wouldn’t hear “culture” and go “oh tit better play it safe”
At the Burning Man show, an audience member did the zaghrouta, which is an expression of joy. Carpenter didn’t take it as someone enjoying the show and instead referred to it as yodelling and saying she didn’t like it. When the audience member clarified that it’s a cultural call, Carpenter then made a comment asking whether she was at Burning Man, acting confused by hearing it there! If you search for Sabrina Carpenter zaghrouta, you can watch what happened.I’m lost what is that about ?
It's wild that this lame "look at me, I do sex now" manages to sell every time. It's so basic.I’m so tired of this over sexxed little imp producing boring mass produced music and despite knowing her core audience is children exposing them to her sex habits and presenting it as “artistry”. It’s not right.
I'm voting for her not having lyrics about names on Starbucks orders anymore. That was a bridge too damn far!She needs to go away for a while, have a makeover, put some clothes on, come back as Sabrina Plumber and sing about non-sexual stuff. Lol
