She’s so cringe now and is already looking dated imo. I can’t believe that this time last year I thought she was so fresh and cute, and I loved her tongue in cheek humour.. but now it’s so forced and tacky and ick. The whole Juno sex positions thing is so embarrassing. I’d love to see her dye her hair ashy blonde and chop it up and have a wash maybe
I mean she's sold a tour as this person. I think people would be annoyed if suddenly she changed it. She probably will after she's finished touring. It's all a look/act for this album.
I went to see her show last week and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The whole sexy lingerie and sex poses is only for 1 or 2 songs.
She changed into a black glitter trousers jumpsuit for most of the show.
She's very country style which I didn't notice before.
It seems the couple of seconds of her half naked and doing the splits is what gets shared everywhere but it's really only a snippet

Everytime I see those juno positions, I think about how she said she has to have ice baths because of the physicality of doing the tour every night. It must be knackering to have to dance like that over and over. Kudos to all the pop girls who dance. They do soooo much more than men on stage (and most sing at least partially live)

I’m off to see her tonight. I don’t care, I think she’s fun and her songs are good old-fashioned catchy pop. Some people take everything so seriously. The parents complaining about her antics on stage (The Brits etc) should maybe try listening to her music before they let their children. It’s really not for young children.
Parents obviously have ultimate responsibility for their children, but I think Sabrina et al know exactly what they're doing and to what extent she appeals to children and are being disingenuous pretending otherwise. A friend went to her show the other day and said the audience was MOSTLY kids. She's a former Disney star dressed up like a Polly Pocket singing catchy pop songs - I'd forgive parents for not catching that the twinkly lyrics are about wanting to be jizzed on.
I was 5 or 6 when the Spice Girls were at their height and was obsessed with them. I definitely would've been dancing and singing around to Two Become One and had no idea what that was about until much later. I'd like to think it did me no harm. I can't see how Sabrina Carpenter is any different.
When I was a young pre-teen back in the late 90’s/early 00’s I was obsessed with Eminem (like a lot of children around that age). I thought he was so cool. My mum had bought me The Marshall Mathers LP as a present but ended up sending it back after having a listen to it herself and being mortified. I wasn’t allowed to have it. Yet we’d happily be singing along to songs about “Sex on the Beach” and the Vengaboys etc. It really is on the parents to monitor what their children are seeing/listening to (I have kids myself and monitor what they see online etc) but also worth remembering that every generation had their controversial pop stars. Sabrina is no different.
You only have to look at songs on Spotify to see the E symbol beside them and know that it's not appropriate for children. She's not aimed at children. I listen to her music in the car and when my 6yo is with me I turn down the saucy bits.

I’ve done the exact same thing with the music when my 7 & 9 year old are around.
I don’t think anyone is saying she doesn’t know she appeals to children. But what can she actually do about that? Should she stop dressing how she likes, or singing about what she likes because kids like her? I think anyone should be allowed artistic freedom even if they’re making what people consider to be frivolous pop music.
If parents can’t decode “wanna try out some freaky positions?” And “I’m so f*ckin horny”, I don’t know what to tell them
enjoy! her show looks like so much fun - i love how much she commits to that whole 50s pinup vibe. i don’t even know how people think it’s overtly sexy because she does it in such a betty boop oops oh me?
sort of way as others have said; i totally agree that it’s on the parents, not sabrina, to vet her music and the show before going. i saw that insta comment that went viral a few days back of a mum asking her not to perform the position part in birmingham because she would be there with her daughter and, come on now
why should the actual artist change everything to suit the fact that some people want to bring their young kids to a show that is not designed for them? being a former disney star doesn’t mean you can NEVER evolve from that surely.

I think kids are generally a bit naive when it comes to these things and I wouldn’t be that surprised if it flies over their heads a bit. When you get to teens then probably not so much but it’s also silly to think that our teenagers are innocent and don’t deal with much more intense and direct references to sex in day to day life imo
Have to say I’m impressed that she has managed to pump out so many quality songs and live up to the hype so to say
