italy are truly going to come good. it’s just that their talent is all around 20-22 right now and not really playing at a high enough level domestically yet to get the experience they need. but, i think there’s hope.
scotland already bossing this it seems, unsurprisingly!

the domestic game here is a mess. the wru is a mess. the coaching setup is a mess and rather than trying to grow we’ve gone backwards to someone who already coached us beyond our abilities.
i think rugby in general is about to have a wake up call though. i wonder when that full list of players with early onset dementia is going to come out. i have always always thought that george north should have retired early. he’s had far too many concussions

scotland have flattered to deceive for a while but everything seems to have clicked for them over the last 2 years or so. they have the strength up front and great talent/creativity behind. i would love a shock win for them!

my feelings on wales rn are very complicated as i’m not a fan of the wru at all and i think the domestic leagues here etc have been broken beyond all repair (that’s a tale for another thread though!) - i don’t think anything will change unless we get a shock of a bad loss or an overall bad tournament so…… this doesn’t answer your question i know

Scotland glad that halftime came when it did.
The WRU are a disgrace. Everything about Welsh Rugby and the fans in their daffodil hats looks twee and embarrassing in contrast with the Welsh football fans and Welsh FA who have embraced Welsh culture in a way the WRU never have. It’s only very recently that they even became bilingual ffs.
PREACH ITmatch days in cardiff are a nightmare now tbh. my dad and i used to go to games all the time but it’s just full of drunk people who don’t even watch and the aforementioned daffodil hats who have no clue what’s going on. watching in murrayfield or (gasp) twickenham is a much nicer experience all around.
