Yeah I get what you mean but it honestly didn’t seem like she was trying to get attention I think she was just letting out some emotion she had been holding onto. She also spoke about getting grape when she was 14. Also that she thought her son is basically the way she was when she was younger because she was also diagnosed with ADHD. She now understands what it was like for her mum to raise her as she is dealing with a similar situation with her son. 🤷‍♀️

Sounds like girly needs a therapist not a podcast

So a standard attention seeking private medical information about her child shared with thousands that will live on the internet forever? Fab work Ruby.
Anyone would think she’s the only one dealing with exactly that, worse, or multiple children with diagnoses, except we just don’t broadcast it 🤦🏻‍♀️
Maybe but I’m sure it was helpful for a lot of parents who are in the same situation to hear this. I can’t even imagine how hard it would be navigating this kind of stuff.

I listened to today’s episode, it was actually really sad, she was in tears for a lot of it. Basically talking about her son’s issues and how hard it is to deal with on a daily basis, he has been diagnosed with ADHD and autism level 2 I think she said. She said when he has outbursts they can last hours, even 7-8 hours. Once she had to call an ambulance because she didn’t know what else to do. Assuming to give him something to calm. It was a good insight to be honest.
It doesn’t make sense to go public with all of this after saying for long on insta she won’t discuss it to “protect her child’s privacy”. Seems like it’s all getting too much for her and she needs to let it out but yeah agree with the other poster in here sounds like what she really needs it not a podcast or a wellness retreat but some very intensive therapy.

Not trying to be rude here but the guy she did the podcast with should probably look into getting some kind of speech therapy if he wants to continue down the podcasting
route😬🥴

I live this life with multiple children too.

I'd love to hear a podcast on the topic, the raw struggles so I don't feel so alone. For years questioning if I was the only one. However, I do get the outrage in here about what she says (to protect her children) and what she actually does.

It sounds like Ruby needs to build her tribe with other mums going through the same.

I didn’t get the attention seeking vibe at all. I think she presented everything really well. Did you listen to the podcast? She established everything she was going to discuss really well at the start. It explains a lot about her behaviour that we judge etc.

As someone who is on the spectrum (ADD yay!), it was actually really refreshing and almost comforting to hear her perspective on it all and how we can be made to feel at times etc.

I mean all we do on this page is trash her lol. Are we really going to judge her for wanting to clarify the things we make comments on?

There are definitely things I don’t agree with that she does, but I found this episode (not sure if she has multiple ones out, I didn’t bother looking) very refreshing.

Lol. i stand by what i said, it’s a snark page. Exactly the place to “trash her” (discuss her). If you stan her, go to another thread if it’s not for you.
Not an applause to another instagram parent over sharing private things about their child that’s frozen online forever. Yuk.
Especially when she’s said in the past she wants to ✨ protect ✨ them.
If she’s so concerned about what people discuss online, don’t post it. Especially when it pertains to her children’s health and wellbeing. Join a support group and get professional help like the rest of us.

Hard agree, she’s actually one of the biggest attention seeking duck wits going, not only for the way she shamelessly exposes all her kids issues, she seems to froth over her skeletal frame like it’s a badge of honor.
I think she needs to get off socials and get some help for herself and her family as a whole, but we know she’s won’t unless she can get gifted therapy and find a way to monetise the whole process like on a podcast lol would be just like the time she went offline saying she was checking into help, to find out it was a bleeping retreat and it was gifted, not quite like she made out.
She’s actual trash.

All I see are wonky lips with glad wrap over her face (assume it’s a sheet mask? Lol.)
Anyway the back tracking on maintaining her kids privacy is pretty tit. I understand she wants to give a voice to the struggles of ND parenting but it’s no different to any other influencer like Amy Gerard talking about their kid related issues which yes, can be reassuring and validating, but at the end of the day that tit lives on the internet forever and is gross.

I think that’s water pouring over her head that looks like a sheet mask? Feel so sorry for these kids whose parents parade every detail about them online. She doesn’t care about there privacy

Thanks for the rec, I'll check it out. There is also 'on the hard days'

ok yes agree to all of the above, lets snap back into snark mode.

Because who even has the time to be on the phone, talking into stories, taking selfies, peddling clothes on a skeletal frame with NT kids lets alone ND children.

I have always though Ruby has ASD herself. There is a high percenatge of undiagnosed autistic women that have eating disorders. Most not even tied to body image, such as ARFID.

I know as I am going through this with one of my daughters - who is now diagnosed.

This is ultimately the trap you back yourself into by earning your money as an influencer, isn’t it? It’s a slippery slope. When your income stream depends solely on exploiting your private life for engagement then your boundaries almost inevitably grow more and more faint. You offer up more and more private information in an attempt to stay on the content hamster wheel and to cement those parasocial relationships with your followers that you need to keep them interested and money flowing in. Next thing you know, you’ve crossed all sorts of lines you probably wouldn’t have if your money was coming from somewhere else.

I think, personally, it would be easier to support her publicly discussing her children’s health (which can be helpful to other parents) if she kept them off her page and didn’t expose/exploit them so much already. Altogether it just feels like a real intrusion into their lives, one they couldn’t possibly consent to.

Is anyone else fully invested in Potgate? 😭 I honestly get why she is so angry, if someone stole my family members property and I found out who they were I would air them out too!! Especially after her mum did lose everything in a flood not long ago.

I'm just struggling to understand how her mum has literally nothing (Ruby's words), yet Ruby lives in a house worth over $2 million with all the plastic surgery in the world. Such a disparity and I couldn't live with myself if I let my mum live like that! But yes, very odd to be honest that someone would just steal a pot like that?! So brazen!

She keeps goiiiiiingggggg but hey if it were something she got called out for then it would be a one page black post “I am overwhelmed with poor mental health stop attacking me thank you” lol.
Obviously agree people shouldn’t have taken the pot but let go now hun it’s enough
