Roobee trying to convince us there’s genius taking place in her brain despite all evidence to the contrary. (With a bonus mention of her favourite [redacted] ofc!)

Is she impressed by that book then? It seems like absolute basic drivel 🤷‍♀️
'Lewis Carroll was an introvert.......without him there would be no Alice in Wonderland'.
Wow. Deep.

That first quote 😂 This is the person who can't keep track of her many lies but she really believes her social anxiety means she is an introverted genius.

She is one of the most talentless people I have ever seen. It is completely fine not to have special skills but this doesn't stop Ruby from lying her way through mediocrity to appear gifted. I wonder if her hands get ever tired from constantly patting herself on the back for doing sweet f all.

Is it worth reading for Oxford Nostalgia? I watched a couple episodes of the TV show (one fairly early on in Oxford, and one where she had gone back in time to like the elizabethan/tudor period but somehow found tight leather trousers) because my mum and dad watched them, and was (unjustifiably) hung up on what I perceived as inaccuracies. Like, you can't be rowing/running on Christchurch Meadow that late in the evening. And you can't be whispering in the bod, where are all the dPhil students giving dirty looks?

I very much enjoyed Brideshead Revisited for the Oxford Nostalgia, even though that's only the very early part of that book. She claims to have read that I think.
Precisely this. No. Oxford is only the setting for the beginning of the story. You will quickly be sent off to France, other European countries, the US. It is not about Oxford, it just starts there and quickly abandons it. It is a story about vampires, witches, demons, magick and feuds/love between the three. If she was expecting a cozy academia vibe, she will be highly disappointed!

New vid and she’s launching her 8-episode Skillshare class on commonplacing - it’ll be live on Monday and seeing as I haven’t canceled my subscription yet, I will happily take one for the team 😁
