This just came up in my YouTube recommended, just thought I would remind people how tone deaf Ruby can be. There isn't anything necessarily wrong with receiving so much but there is no need for her to show absolutely everything online, could just do a few things

(Also apologies for not interacting much lately, got final exams soon so sadly Ruby is not one of my priorities)
It'll maybe sound weird but I never really realized they were wealthy before watching a what I got for christmas video, the state of their house, the fact she is always freezing in winter ( logically when you can't afford to warm your house, it's for financial reasons), the fact she still keep clothing from her 12 years when being 17... For all of these reasons I thought they didn't have that much money.

And then came the christmas videos lol

Oh and the planners look even worst, what's that color seriously..?

Do we actually have proof that her mum is an alcoholic?
Not sure about alcoholism, but I think her blog post about dry january illustrates some sort of dependence

It's also a PETA shirt, even though Ruby haughtily assured all her fans that she would NAVVER, AVVER promote or advertise PETA (said while she was wearing PETA shirts and using PETA phone cases).
I’m surprised her tshirt doesn’t say “VEEEEGANN TSHIRT”, to be honest.

I cringed watching her "Preparing for AXEFUD" video.
So much busywork that is utterly useless. She should be properly reading her TAXTS now.

Also, she'll have studied that course syllabus more than the lecturer at this point. They prepare close to the start of term.

Her dream career will surely being a librarian at the Bodleian in AXEFUD.

A fan club at AXEFUD developing?

POV: it’s raining outside and you’re browsing one of the largest bookshops in London. You see Ruby. You drop the book you’re holding and run out the door. You forget to pull out your umbrella. It doesn’t matter. Survival does.
Wtffff not me being in Foyles (I think!) at exactly the same time as Ruby!! I didn't see her luckily

Blakeney must be slightly freaked out by Ruby’s obsession with her. To be constantly mentioned in these videos even when she’s not even seen Ruby. I would be.

I'm sorry, I know it's been mentioned before, but her nails are disgusting. 🤢
She should add nail clipping to her to-do list.
Agreed - I mean I get that she can’t help the way her thumbs are, but I’m sure she could get a professional manicure with some pointers, her nails would look so much better.

I am trying to watch her video but I keep having to stop because she’s annoying me so much. It irritates me whenever I see her using a product I like (e.g. Crosta and Mollica crackers she showed are actually good) or even have considered buying from… I guess she is unwittingly de-influencing? She has genuinely put me off from more than one purchase, especially clothes and style. Companies are mad to keep working with her.

This is her biggest issue, and she will never overcome it. Her entire life and persona is built on in this make believe version of what she thinks is a well-read, academic, eccentric person. None of her interests feel genuine to me, everything is a prop for her camera. She doesn't know how not to perform and I also think this Oxford era isn't even for herself, it's to prove to her viewers and others that she is the kind of person who gets accepted into Oxford. I often wonder how anxious and tired she must be, trying to keep up this ridiculous act and her massive jumble of lies. She doesn't need a postgraduate degree, she needs extensive therapy.
Last sentence rhymes, would be a good Thread title.

She didn't really create the memories that everyone else did on school holidays, and she would've easily made it to Exeter to study English by doing only half the work she did in sixth form.
I totally agree with you on this. I got very similar results to Ruby and studied a fraction of what she did…it always shocked me that someone who did 15 hour study days wouldn’t have got all A*s or perhaps would have opted to do 4 subjects at A2. I think a large reason of why she didn’t get into Oxford for her undergrad was due to her not being well rounded enough… everyone that applies has those grades (and is head girl/boy) but most have something else that makes them special (instruments, sports, etc.). I know I’m not saying anything new here btw!

I screenshotted this a few days and never got round to posting this but this seems SO back handed and snooty to me. Like yeah of course she thinks trains are great because she probably doesn’t even notice the constant price increases. Also, she can travel off-peak since she’s not working so probably doesn’t experience overcrowded trains with no seats. Trains in the UK are among the most expensive in the world. Like yeah the UK is very well-connected and trains could be amazing if the fat cats at the top actually invested in trains and made them cheaper and better for the country. I just hate how she’s acting like she’s better than us and acting like she’s *so grateful* for the people who make it happen as if the rest of us aren’t. It’s not the workers/strikers we’re mad at; it’s the shareholders and other fat cats! Like I’m supposed to feel grateful and lucky that it costs me £30 to get a return for a 20 minute train into London or £100+ to visit my friends in Bristol when I can get a return flight to Oslo for £35.

She’s denied it on tiktok but there’s absolutely no chance she’s not a Tory, whether she realises it or not. This post reeks of Tory nationalism and not keeping up with the news because it doesn’t affect her.
Lately, the whole "we" this and "we" that, and now the "grateful for people" sounds so stuck up and snobbish, like she thinks she is even above royalty. There isn't anything kind or polite about her, and she certainly isn't anyone important, so I am surprised that her followers have not picked up on her "better than thou" attitudes and comments by now. They have never been subtle and lately they seem to be more frequent. Well, that will quickly get dashed when she is with her peers at Oxford and sees what an imbecile she is. Karma can hit hard. One day she is going to fail in such a big way that no amount of money nor tears is going to mend it. If I were her mother I would shove her in jeans and send her to the barns to muck out stalls until her hands have open blisters and every muscle is crying for relief. And no phone or camera, no book. Work all day and make yourself useful or get out of my house! I would never put up with this crap from a graduated grown child of mine. She freaking needs to grow up and learn some decent courtesy. Enough with protecting poor little Rubbish from the world. Her family isn't doing her any favours.

All 9s in the sciences at GCSE and an A in A-Level Chemistry but has the understanding of a five year old. Classic Ruby.
Did you guys in the UK have those French cartoons that show you how the human body works? They were very popular in Italy and I loved them as a kid, so even as a 5 year old I probably knew that blood carries oxygen to the brain

I haven't read or watched Matilda since I was little, but I don't recall there being any cupcakes in the book/film, either. Doesn't Bruce Bogtrotter eat a full chocolate cake?
Yes he is made to eat a huge chocolate cake by Miss Trunchbull. Not cupcakes.
Anyway cupcakes are an American thing (or were) so Roald Dahl would not have used that term.
And as said above the picture is of a cake anyway 🤷‍♀️

No period sanitary products. I wonder if she is either too malnourished to have a period OR because she lives in her 12 year old world she is too embarrassed to admit/show that she has periods. Those small bags are the perfect place to keep spare tampons/pads/whatever you use!

also a leather bag? Isn’t she a vegan ??
In my friend group most use period underwear or cups these days so maybe she uses that as well.

Hypocrisy about the environment; major proponent of superficial “girlboss” feminism; lazy engagement with the complexity of sex and gender issues.

The very fact she’s skated into the creative writing MSt with no meaningful/good quality work as yet shows she’s trading on celebrity and connections vs actual skill and talent, which is what she’s done for her entire post-Potter career. I don’t know her personally but we are…let’s say, quite close in degrees of separation via one or two things, and I know several people who find her very annoying!
Thank God I am not the only one..I am so tired of everyone around me worshipping Emma Watson. I don't think she is a particularly good actress

I think she is going to apply for a DPhil (that’s what PhDs are called at Oxford), because remaining a student gives her an excuse for drawing out her “child” status even longer.

(No shade is intended to be thrown at normal PhD students, of course, who don’t see their research as an excuse to remain TWALVE.)

Her mum sounds totally neurotic. I wonder if she doesn't work or volunteer because of mental health issues. She seems completely overwhelmed unless she's on holidays with BAC over 0.08.
