I think her logic is that helium balloons are usually a birthday party staple, but it's still a mess of a metaophor to hinge a whole poem on.I know that she means "my heart is filled with air and not with the things that I once hoped would live there", but the way she's phrased it sounds like she's forgotten the verb in the sentence.
Also helium doesn't work here, she should have used something that links to playing dress up in the clouds to be the thing that lifts her up so that the ideas connect better - nostalgia, wistfulness, even a boiled-down object that represents those feelings - birthday cake, ribbons in her hair, whatever. The reader would have understood that it was acting like helium in a poem about balloons and someone who has studied English Literature and LOVS WROITING especially should know this.
It’s really yummyYeah in an indian restaurant I had a really nice dessert. I think it was called Gajar Ka Halwa. It was similar to your description. Grated down and sort of caramelised in the pan. And then served with a north indian style icecream. Very syrupy and soft and nice with the cream. Off topic lol but felt like sharing that because it was so damn delicious.
Balloons once soared, dreams took flight, In childhood's joy, oh, what a sight! But fears of growing dim the hope, Yet uniqueness lingers, helping us cope.I think her logic is that helium balloons are usually a birthday party staple, but it's still a mess of a metaophor to hinge a whole poem on.
At this point though, I'm not entirely convinced that ChatGPT didn't write this for her after she fed in some prompts. "ChatGEEPEETEEEEAAAA, please wroyte me ayyy sad pyoem about choyldhud, barrthdayyys and the fear of growing opp and not being as spashal as you'd hyoped, with a central mattaphore about balyoons thankyouplease." And then she just banged the enter key at random points.
Yeah, I also thought that the video was rather boring.8. Rather boring video. I would have liked to seen more of the sights, a lot less of Blakeney's butt or Rubbish's face. Too much of "us" going on.
If I'd pour hot something over a pan that sits on the edge while filming with the other hand ... that screams accident! also, you always pour away from your body. She really just stopped using her fake, high-pitched voice out of nowhere, eh? How many videos has it been? 4? 5?
Also, I know I'm being petty but I really hate the color of her socks lol so ugly

Also, she didn't show how the popcorns turned out. Safe to assume she burned it to crisps. Anything less tragic, she would have proudly showed it off.
True, although I'd imagine all the work outside of terms can be done from home, with maybe a weekly or fortnightly trip to the libraries. The terms are eight weeks but that is mainly for undergraduates. Realistically you need to be working outside of that to complete a taught masters (like the one Ruby is doing).
However, I don’t think she will drop out. I think she will make excuses, get extensions, and possibly cheat a bit.
Yes, the "this day" nonsense is annoying.View attachment 2342348
WHAT on earth is this weird shifty eyed expression she keeps doing?! it drives me bonkers
also, does anyone get annoyed at the way she says “this day”? she’s constantly saying shit like “i went to the shop this day” when i swear you would need to say “ON this day”
It's also a PETA shirt, even though Ruby haughtily assured all her fans that she would NAVVER, AVVER promote or advertise PETA (said while she was wearing PETA shirts and using PETA phone cases). This is so petty but I get the ick from Ruby’s “Choose Kindness” t-shirt.
I’m surprised her tshirt doesn’t say “VEEEEGANN TSHIRT”, to be honest. It's also a PETA shirt, even though Ruby haughtily assured all her fans that she would NAVVER, AVVER promote or advertise PETA (said while she was wearing PETA shirts and using PETA phone cases).
