Ah just her mate came for a visit from Ireland, Rosemary paid for her internal flights from Chicago to FW, I think partially to be sound but partially because she didn’t want to drive to collect her (it’s a decent journey), and the friends initial flight was delayed so she missed the internal one and rosemary had to collect her anyway! But she’s mentioned the cost of the flights a few times and in her most recent money diary says “a pay in 4 for *friends name* flight comes out, raging!” And while I get that it’s annoying the friend didn’t get use out of rosemarys gift, if I was her friend I’d be really embarrassed if my friend bought me a $200 gift that they were paying off in instalments and kept reminding their readers and presumably our mutual friends of?No, tell us more. I don’t pay for her substack anymore but I get the preview. The mental image of her sitting alone at her kitchen table eating a takeaway in the middle of the day is so sad. Her world seems so small.
Yeah but what she sent to her was available here.In fairness there's still loads of stuff you can't get in Ireland. But why send a package of stuff if that friend is coming to visit anyway
I can't remember her being single for that long, not since I've followed her anyway and distinctly remember watching her "why I don't want children" video.I think with Rosemary, it's not where she is, it's that she never seems to be happy with her lot. In Dublin she had a good network like you said, got plenty of work through her contacts etc. She wasn't content though as she wanted a boyfriend, children, etc. She now has a child, a husband and stepchildren but is complaining about being unable to leave
I think maybe people mean suffocating in the sense that she pretty much has to stay in the US.I don't understand why people are saying her life is suffocating. It looks like a normal life to me. She is married with kids, has an extremely close relationship with her sister and parents, works on her writing and stuff. It might not be fun and excitement at all times but the same can be said for everyone
Yes this is what I meant at least, anyway. I think I'd view it differently if she had carved her own path over there as a result of work or whatever, but just to go there because her sister was there and settle down is wild to me.I think maybe people mean suffocating in the sense that she pretty much has to stay in the US.
Brandon's life is there and his 2 kids, so they can't leave. She can't raise her child in her home country and be near to her parents etc.
They are not just someone else kids. They are her husbands kids and her step kids. She has a very close bond with them. So she is not going to leave. She loves them and a life there but is still allowed to miss home.Yes this is what I meant at least, anyway. With ageing parents, and America just being America, I wouldn't want my child growing up there, never mind waiting for someone else's kids to grow up so I could leave.
Absolutely agreeYou're allowed change your mind on having kids that's no one's business.
I understand it must be lonely away from your parents she has bea but the uncertainty of her job prob means rosemary is afraid she might move away.
Give the gal a break
