She can leave anytime she wants she just won't get back in until the green card process is finalised you mean.

Call it what you want, the facts are she has choices when she's going on like she doesn't.
Wow, you must really hate her to keep posting this choices narrative when lots of other posters have already debunked it pretty clearly - it’s honestly one of the most demented things I’ve heard on here in a while and that’s saying something. I’m no Rosemary Stan but even I can see that coming back to Ireland and forcing her husband to chose between his children is not a viable choice.

According to you, her choices involve breaking up her family and you seem to think that would be reasonable and worthy of consideration. That’s some real out of the box thinking!

Also, anyone who says “facts” in their posts is losing the argument IMO.

I am rather neutral when it comes to Rosemary. I’ve known her since her college days, she was a friend of a friend and she won’t know me from Adam. I have zero tea. She hasn’t changed a bit. She is a bit immature, but I can’t criticise her for that, I’m the same age and struggling with being a grown up now too. I’ve seen her through every iteration of her identity as she’s struggled to find herself…fashion columnist with a questionable sense of personal style (I enjoy her making fun of her past self too!), gym bunny eating mince for brekkie, lost and lonely and looking to big sister for support, and now a mother, wife and author. I think she’s always struggled with self identity, and suffers from baby sister syndrome.

I admire how candid she’s always been about her mental health struggles. I love how she is so inclusive with his boys. I think she writes well but it’s all a bit mé féin for me. I do think she’s been consistent throughout, and always just presented herself as her true self. The problem is she doesn’t know who she is. But I think many intelligent and introspective persons struggle with this. And it’s likely both a result and cause of her depression. I think she and I would be friends now. I see a lot of me in her.

And my heart goes out to her in her current situation tbh. I don’t think she’s made much secret of the fact that she’s not living where she is because she loves the location. And yes she would have known this would have been her fate from the moment she said “I do”. But it’s easy romanticise expectations. My mother sacrificed a lot for my dad in a similar fashion and never really forgave him for it. I can’t entertain anyone who suggests she has options beyond staying where she is right now because the alternative is tearing her family apart. I hope it doesn’t become a source of resentment for her.

Years ago, an "influencer" that I really like did something quite silly when they were posting a story on cooking. I can't remember what it was, but it was along the lines of putting cold unsalted water into a pan of uncooked pasta, as an example for how silly it was. I posted a comment basically saying "add the pasta to boiling salted water, it'll be much better" and I was blocked. Now I can't remember what exactly it was but it was something food related.

Either way, I just remember it being the first time someone I actually liked blocked me because I was a "hater" for pointing out the way she cooked a dish could be improved?

I didn't want to bitch about this person, I didn't want to harass them or abuse them... I just wanted to share some of my knowledge with them and I got blocked for it.

At that point, I started to wake up to the fact that anything that isn't frankly licking their arse is perceived as hate/trolling/abuse which is just ridiculous.

No not 40 yet. Her parents are particularly cruel to Beatrice I think. her mother tells her she chose to have four kids and live in America when she is finding things tough. If you can’t have a moan to your mother then who can you moan to!
I don’t know anyone in Ireland that can moan to their mother without getting unhelpful commentary back 🤣

Seriously? Are you suggesting that she should leave her husband and step sons and return to Ireland and break up a family? Her only option is the one she has at present. She will have more options when she gets her green card.
To be fair she could just start writing about other things except herself and her family. The only people that are talked about on tattle are the ones that put their personal life out there. I have more followers than Rosemary, nobody is here talking about me because my page is strictly business, there is nothing to 'tattle' about. I plug my stuff, I talk about the weather, maybe mention my cat. Kids, relationships, actual stuff that matters? Nope, not a chance.

She takes the lazy way out, and it is lazy to talk about yourself all of the time rather than do research and talk about shit that actually has some depth and there are consequences to that lazy way out and that is that people are going to talk about you. I think she is a good writer but we've heard it all before. I was shocked that it took her 2 days to write the Guardian article when it was just regurgitated shite, I thought she would have it down pat by now.

You can't write exclusively about yourself then get pissy when people talk about you. She says she is a feminist right? Do some research on gender roles in the midwest and the impact that the young age people marry has on women, interview people and write about them. She fancies herself a 'trans ally' go out and find some trans people in the Midwest, what are their lives like, write about them. I mean there are literally millions of stories out there that aren't hers, just find some of them and write about them. Be thoughtful, be insightful, be anything but fucking self centered, then maybe people will focus on the quality of her work and give insightful critiques but as long as your content is 'I was so desperate for a man I found a married one' people are going to talk about you.

I've never commented on Rosemary before, I usually find her mostly inoffensive but her latest stories have ruffled my feathers.

The reason the poster doesn't contact you directly is because you will reshare it doxxing the person to your followers in the hope the few sycophants who love you will go for them. That's why.

You don't like Tattle Rosemary? Stop reading it. It really is that simple. Trolling would be if the person contacted you directly to tell you what you they don't like about you. They choose to do it here and you choose to come here. Your choice. Your real problem is you can't control it.

I don't know how many times I've deleted and reactivated my tattle account. I used to feel guilty talking on certain threads especially when the "huns" throw out the bullying word and all that malarkey. I then realise what I say on this forum is no different than having a gossip around the lunch table at work. I don't pass remarks on anybodys appearance/weight, I'd never speak about anyone's child etc. I'm just enjoying a different form of gossip and opinions! It's the world we live in now!

And what of it? There are VAST amounts of Jewish people against the genocide of Palestine.
100% agree with this. Jews across the world are protesting in their tens of thousands against the genocide of Palestinians. Hundreds of Jewish people were arrested in Washington DC for peacefully protesting against what Israel are doing in Gaza. It’s completely incorrect to conflate being pro Palestine with being antisemitic. Would suggest anyone who thinks it is to have a look at the Jewish Voice for Peace Instagram.

Rosemary: I feel like Irish influencers and podcasters can't say anything without someone being offended it's so constraining.

Also Rosemary: Don't say flattering it's fat phobic.

Why have public libraries?
The pdf isn’t legal and Rosemary gets zero royalties from it. It’s a horrible thing to do, whether you like someone or not. They deserve to be paid for their work.

She talked about Atlas, his autism and ABA treatments they started in her stories. She says she won’t be discussing it, but it’s only a matter of time before it comes up again.
On this, and I am aware this isn’t the rave thread, Rosemary has mentioned ABA in her money diaries and they have not started it. She is still researching and has said she is aware that it is not thought well if in the autism community.

Completely agree.

Also - who are these people who stare at literal children (autistic or not) having a meltdown? How can anyone be that judgemental to a CHILD.

Vile.
See I wouldn't think of that as being "judgemental to a child" more of a "this doesn't fit my situation and its annoying for me" type of look.

Because if I was out for a meal and there was a screaming child near me that was not being removed you can be damn sure I'd be throwing a "read the room" side eye. I get it, kids get fussy but if it's going on for more than 5 minutes I get very annoyed. I'd do the same for kids running around, someone coughing openly, blowing their nose loudly etc. There's ways to behave in public and child or not, disrupting others in the space is not it.

I haven’t read the times article yet but her last substack piece also referenced ‘online forums’ about how beauty influencers get criticised on them for using different beauty products and as Rosemary puts it, how are they supposed to learn about beauty products? I’m sure she knows full well that these influencers get the stick they do for swearing one week that product X is the best thing ever and then switching allegiance at the whiff of a pay check. Gifted/aff links often not disclosed. Influencers promote and perpetuate an endless cycle of consumption. It’s not as if they’re carrying out some vital public service by trialling products on our behalf and reporting back. She then goes onto say that once these beauty influencers become mothers, they have every move scrutinised and criticised and the man is not under as much scrutiny. Totally ignoring the fact that many of these women CHOOSE to swivel into the mummy blogger space (much more so than men) because of the freebies and collaboration opportunities involved. They could always choose to leave their mother selves and especially their children offline but they don’t.

Last point, she says she discovered all this having ‘fallen down a rabbit-hole of gossip threads’ as if she didn’t actively seek it out herself (to the point where she, by her own admission, is subscribed to this very forum). So she’s sort of saying it’s ok for her to read it because she only fell on here.

Obviously given the fact I’m subscribed to her substack, I’m overall a supporter of hers, but I find her totally disingenuous in relation to these forums, what actually goes on relative to what she claims is going on and in relation to her own involvement, which is not as passive as she may like to believe.

Is it arrogance, privilege or ignorance of her surroundings that gives her the confidence to wear that t-shirt? I wonder if she has actually worn it in public. There is a Jewish community in Fort Wayne.
And what of it? There are VAST amounts of Jewish people against the genocide of Palestine.

Have to say there were plenty commenting on ABA here at the time without knowing the full story.

I'm so glad he's making great progress and will develop in his own time.

He's a cute little fella
There would have been one way to make sure that no one commented - keep your childs private medical information off the Internet.

I find it really gross that she talks of feeling vulnerable, talks of how difficult it is for her to be open etc etc but there isn't a jot of thought there for her son, how vulnerable he might feel in the future having had his childhood, his medical info shared to the world. Everything is centred around her, her thoughts, her feelings, her ego and everything else is secondary to that.
