Why do the current owners hate sofas and only have chairs across the whole house. This is worse than my (now deceased) mother in law, she had 19 random dining chairs in her house, 3 armchairs of which you could only actually sit in one, a sofa so low you needed a hydraulic lift to get back up again and then a sofa which looked like it belonged in a high street solicitors reception area in 1994. Which is actually where it had come from

That’s just wrong! How the hell are you supposed to find a book if it’s not organised by author? Unless they’ve just bought a load of random books based on colour and haven’t actually read them?

Books are Not Ornaments. Someone i worked with knew i own lots of books. She asked if i could give her any books of a certain size. She didn't want them to read, she wanted to use my precious tomes for some upcycling Pinterest rit. Repeat, Books are Not Ornaments. 😆

I must have been an early adopter! I arranged my books by colour when I lived on my own in 2009. It looks good for about 10 minutes then it really annoyed me as I had to shift everything around if I bought a new book and if the spine had two colour on it or the title was in a very large and bold font on the spine it looked weird. I lied to myself for a bit and claimed "I mostly remember books by their colour". Last house they were just on whatever shelves they landed on and now I have a house with a whole wall of shelves they are done by surname for fiction and then roughly grouped by subject for non fiction. Because it's bleeping logical

Omg I’ll have to have a look, that’s seriously one of my recurring nightmares! 🫣 I’m desperate for a wee and all I can find are open plan toilets in crowded places 😆 perhaps his posts might cure me if I can laugh at them 🤞

Never mind! Those posts are nightmare fuel! 🤣 what are people thinking?! Personally I find a bath in the bedroom a bit icky, but an open plan bleeper is something else 😱

I see the “hovel-look” is all the rage in Hastings. 🤣 I can picture a twatty London-artisan type who has originally bought that hovel and is no doubt selling it to his own kind.

I mean it would make a great film set, but can you really imagine yourself living there? I am so clumsy, I wouldn’t last five minutes. I would either break my neck going down those steps leading to the garden, or trip over something in the house itself. 😂

As for that huge Gunnera taking up most of the garden, good luck with removing that! Very invasive plants. 😂

Oh it’s beautiful! My father-in-law was a carpenter building movie sets and worked here on a couple of films back in 70’s & 80’s, he has loads of photos of this place, he said it was magnificent and Jane Seymour was lovely
