This was my thought as well! Don’t want to give too much info here - I lived in the NYC area for a few years, had a convo with a friend of a friend at a social gathering. She does not have enough followers to be bringing in that type of money even in the US. In the scheme of influencers she’s basically a no body in the US and a has-been in the Irish influencing scene. There’s definitely more going on to support the lifestyle that she’s living.
Got into talking about influencers, I couldn’t tell you now what this girl even did there or the company name as it was so small but basically, there is a rise in “quiet mid luxury brands” here in the US. They target niche influencers with smaller followings. The idea is that too many followers will dilute their gauge of ROI but mainly their whole branding is no direct advertising -“quiet luxury” -to keep with the business model if makes sense. The more followers they have, the less targeted and “sloppy” they look. (Her words) I brought Erika and a few other Irish influencers up as there’s not many in the NYC market and she said she recognised her! (I got the impression this girl was full of it so who knows) I’m not in with this scene so I have no idea how big or small it is.
I didn’t believe her then on how much they were paying per post but if you take a look at her grid and google a few of the companies she’s worked with, you’ll see what I mean I think by the branding. She told me they pay $20-30K per post at times and even more for brand deal across months. (Like my annual salary
Her hen would have cost an absolute bomb. Going to Miami would absolutely break you for the year. I think I’m off and she may make more honestly. But take into account, this is short term revenue. I’ve just put 2:2 together honestly. Curious to know what you all think. My nose is at me now! Thought this girl was full of rit but i think i missed the concept entirely at the time.
