I remember watching the first episode of Buffy and being a bit unsure about all the vampire stuff, then seeing that Anthony Head was in it and thinking “it’s ok, this is going to be great”. Such a legend.

ETA I heard the news in the radio earlier and literally shouted NO to myself in the car. So sad.

I was trying to explain to co-worker a couple of weeks ago who Neil Sedaka was. She's mid 50s but claimed to have never heard of him!!! Me and another girl were reeling off songs he'd written and performed. Of which there were loads.

Amarillo was the only one she said she knew. She's getting Neil Sedaka's greatest hits as her secret santa gift (if she's still here 😳😳😳)

One of my favourites is One More Ride on the Merry Go Round. Brilliant song.

And I honestly didn't know Neil had also contributed to Ring Ring by Abba.

What a legacy of songs he's left 💖💖💖

He also had Cauda equina syndrome which is basically compressions of nerve roots in his spine which caused a few surgeries. In one of them, cerebrospinal fluid leaked to his heart which caused tachicardia. He did have one heart attack a few years back because of it.

I was and continue to be a Buffy fan and have followed many of the cast since the show ended and hearing this was the kind of 'oh' but not a surprise at the same time as he had issues for years which I won't go into now but all I will say is hopefully, he is finally getting the peace he couldn't get when alive.

There seems to be a lot of cancer affecting younger people, especially under 50s. It's a bit of a concern, especially when most of the people who are dying seem relatively healthy, physically.
