I have a random memory of someone like Bobby Davro doing an impression of Cleo Laine in the 80s,or was it another comedian?
Bob Mortimer played her during an episode of The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer with Vic playing Johnny.

The Two Ronnies did an excellent one where Ronnie Barker impersonated her and Ronnie Corbett impersonated her husband Johnny Dankworth

I have to say seeing his family at the bench is very uncomfortable to watch. They’re all absolutely heartbroken while the crowd is chanting, it’s just jarring

I'm not sure why they put themselves through that. Sharon looks so frail and they're all in pretty obvious shock

I was prepared to watch this as Ozzy wanted, not crying but celebrating his life. But the moment the brass band played Crazy Train and the hearse appeared, my eyes started to well up. When the family stepped out of the car and they all looked devastated, I just burst out crying. 😭 Brings me back to the day of my own dad's funeral. I was a mess! I still remember holding a wreath trying to read the epitaph before laying the flowers on the grave with my voice warbling, trying to hold back the tears. I can imagine it will be a very difficult day for the family. They try to keep to Ozzy's wishes and not make it a sad day but it's easier said than done.

Loving this ❤💜🖤 At least it's something although I think the BRF has been way too quiet about Ozzy's passing. I mean, he was royalty.

I used to quite like James Whale. I remember The James Whale Radio Show very well and loved his late night shows with Ash on Talk Sport ( until he nearly got the station shut down ) and then when he moved to LBC.

He must have been dealing with cancer on and off for about 25 years.

Ray Brooks actor and the voice of Mr Benn has died aged 86. He also appeared in the groundbreaking 1960's drama Cathy come home, amongst many other things.
I once emailed him to reminisce about his long and interesting career, he sent me a lovely email in response. He was a delightful and very talented man. RIP Ray, and thanks for the entertainment.
