Oh no, this is terribly sad. She was my favourite author in my 20s as I loved the shopaholic series, although her standalone book ‘Remember Me?’ was my all time favourite of hers.

I did shed a little tear when I heard of Sophie kinsella. I have always loved her books and pretty much read them all.
Oh that’s very sad. I remember reading Shopaholic while travelling 20 years ago. Good fun.

It's one of those songs you go the full rollercoaster on. When it came out, I thought it was great but then it got so overplayed that I hated it and as soon as I heard it, whatever it was on would be turned off. I've softened in my old age though and whenever it comes on nowadays, I sing and inevitably dance along.
I remember it being on when I was on my first holiday I was 5 and there was this line dancing club they did at the hotel and they did it to that song and i joined in. It's one of my 1st memories when we went to Torquay when I was 5
He wa such a talented comedian, who had a difficult personal life. Kenneth Williams mentioned him often, in his diaries. They were good friends. RIP Stanley.
Being Glaswegian, me and the old dear loved Stanley Baxter. We saw him in his last panto at the King's Glasgow and he was an old school fabulous dame.
His shows were appointment viewing for my mum and her family. Much more so than Morecombe and Wise.
I saw that he doesn't want a memorial service or plaque. Which is think is a shame as he definitely deserves to be remembered. I just hope he knows how much people loved and enjoyed his shows

My sister and I loved watching Mr Majeika back in the 80s. Even to this day, if we see someone with a tuft of hair standing up, our first thought is 'Where's Hamish?' I finally showed my niece a clip of it on YT a while back so she could understand what the joke was and must have blocked out the fact that Miriam 'I can get away with being vile as I'm a old les' Margoyles was also in it as there she was, playing a right nasty cow...so for once, she didn't have to act.
