Look after your own lawn instead of cultivating anyone elses. Don't chase butterflies. Look after your own garden and the butterflies will come eventually. Love MrsC xxxx

You always get better advice from the conman than the dupe. That is so true

My heart has been burnt, broken, beaten up and shattered, bit if you have the courage to love after all that you deserve a love deeper than the ocean

Some people are never going to clap for you. Win anyway.

Viola Davis
Too right. I used to do figure competitions and there were the naysayers in the gym who said I couldn't do it. I wrote a card to all the supporters after my first win and thanked everyone who spurred me on. At the bottom I put a PS. It said "To all those who doubted me, kiss my a" I never looked back and won many more. Love MrsC xxxx

If you're a victim of any kind make sure you use that to become successful (David Goggins quote). Love MrsC xxxx

Coral Browne's withering put-down of a scriptwriter who was irritating her on set:

Another one I like, this was Mary McCarthy's acerbic read of fellow author Lillian Hellman:

That one always makes me chuckle. It got McCarthy into a lot of trouble though as Hellman initiated a defamation lawsuit. Fortunately for McCarthy, Hellman died before it was brought to court.

"I don't know enough about life. I'm always learning"

I could do this all day but I'll just say this one, "People will be jealous of your light but not the darkness you went through to get there. Love MrsC xxxx

This is quite sad isn’t it? The end?

The way I see it, if something makes you sad when it ends, it must have been pretty wonderful when it was happening. Truth be told, I always felt it a bit lazy to just think of the world as sad, because so much of it is. Because everything ends. Everything dies. But if you step back, if you step back and look at the whole picture, if you're brave enough to allow yourself the gift of a really wide perspective, if you do that, you'll see that the end is not sad. It's just the start of the next incredibly beautiful thing.

If we don't experience sadness we won't appreciate happiness. Experience is a brutal teacher and we never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory. Make the most of everyday and always be pleasant and positive whenever you can. Be yourself always, because everyone else is taken. I love this thread. Love MrsC xxxx

I love what you said Bonbon27. I had a big op a few weeks ago and Im not going to waste my life on the wrong people. There are people who I was there for when they were going through things but haven't even asked me how I am since my op or bothered to reply to a message. They made my day before all this and I'm a bit sad because of the way it's turned out but life is fluid things change and it's all for a good reason. "Sometimes you have to close the door on things, not because of pride or arrogance but simply because they lead nowhere". Ive been watching a guy on youtube called Earl Nightingale, mindsets of excellence. I love the bit where he says about red eyes and a hollow head. Love MrsC xxxx

My Irish nana used to say "Go to sleep with a smile on your face and you will wake up beautiful." I loved that and it's true.
