When you were a baby and your sister was even younger, you were brought to me by the father you hate so much.
For almost a decade you endured being raised in a house where the adults were violent towards each other. I wanted to leave but stayed for you, are you grateful? I know you would have been better off if I had left years earlier, but the thought was there.
The day I finally fled, taking my actual children with me, I left you with your violent father, knowing I had done my best. Shortly afterwards, I met another man and he became another stable figure in your life, so I left him.
I’m sorry the horse your mum bought you when she couldn’t afford to pay the bills is now dead. I’ve attached a photo of you with him, taken after he died.
I would now like to take the opportunity to publicly remind you of your inability to conceive naturally, and tell the world about the procedures you’ve had to rectify this. If you are never able to have children, at least you have lots of siblings, some of whom you’re actually related to, so you’ll probably have plenty of nieces and nephews. I expect I’ll have another baby soon too - I’m sure that will be of great comfort to you.
